YouTube banning gambling/casino streams and channels?

Heya,

As most of you know a lot of YouTubers have been banned either on lifetime or gotten excluded from live streaming. I started this thread for a discussion to hopefully get some insights in what's going on. 

What we know so far:

Monday the 28th of May YouTube started shutting down live casino streamers, me included (got the channel back after appealing).

Channels that have received a permanent ban that I'm aware of: Casinoreggie, Daskelelele, TheBigJackpot, BrianChristopherSlots (first two were during livestreams, the second two I'm not sure).

Channels that have gotten a 90 day restriction from live streaming: Casinodaddy, Chipmonkz (both while live streaming)

What I find awkward is no one is ? sure what's going on . Everyone is just speculating. Also I don't get how hard it is to contact anyone from YouTube it's like their friggin invisible. No number their email is rubbish it takes days to get a reply. I just wish someone knew what is going on as everyone is just guessing. I friggin hate twitch I just hope someone finds a loophole in all this and you can all live stream again. I miss you all xx

 
@LetsGiveItASpin hi kim. Not nice times. I really hope this ban is lifted and the route cause discovered,

Brought out into the open so everybody that streams can adjust and wee all get back to normal service.

i think a lifeban staight from the gun is very severe. Whats happened to give someone a life ban ? ?. Its unbelievable how harsh that is.

I hope youtube do openly declare what the problem is.

If it is to much advertising or to do with links then let the streamers no so things can be adjusted.

Many people prefer youtube to twitch, i myself admitt i am one of them. I find it easier to use.

I have my fingers crossed for everybody that is effected.?.

The 2nd link, This guys explains it the best i think.

Kim did you find that you had broken any of these rules.

These rules should be exposed more and i think a warning would of been best not closure.

Glad you got your channel back m8.

I've gotten a reply from YouTube now, once again pretty generic; "you might be breaking some of our terms". If we didn't a couple weeks ago, what has changed?

I 100% agree with you Craig, wish they'd just make a statement about what we can and can't do.

Cheers mate, the only reply I got was a generic one. Happy to have the channel back but still want to know how to stream live within Youtube's terms or at worst know if it's over with YouTube streaming so that I can focus 100% on Twitch and Facebook.

 
So when somebody donates to you in twitch, Is that a form of giving money or advertising a certain payment method that you tube does not allow.

Maybe some sort of link they do not approve of.

Lets wait and see , Thats all we can do.

 
Maybe a gap in the market to start your own streaming / video platform? With the way content is delivered these days it's costs pennies to run and if you have the right people running things its fairly straight easy to maintain.

With the pending crackdown by ASA in the UK, gambling ads are going to be highly regulated (maybe banned) on TV so would expect YouTube to start restricting things further when pressure is applied by the Government.

Update: TheBigJackpot and BrianChristopherSlots have gotten their channels back, which is great news. Still not sure about what's allowed when it comes to live streaming.

Hi kim. Are you back to full operating regarding streaming twitch and youtube ? What was the main problem in youtube cutting everybody out. What did they say the main problem was ? If your back to full working order im happy for you kim.?.

That's bad, he should appeal, that's how we got it back. I tried Tweeting as well but no reply until the news article stated earlier went live. Then they replied with "Jumping in to quickly clarify that there hasn't been a policy change and the channels have been reinstated. This was a mistake on our end and we're sorry it happened!" in this tweet: https://twitter.com/mims/status/1004402964335767553

Was back yesterday but seems like channels are getting shut down again, this time its: Casinodaddy, David Labowsky and Grape's Gambling Channel. Seems they give us one message and do another thing, might hold off with streaming again until I know what's going on.

 
Kim a lot of it is due to deceptive practices

For instance, David just got banned. Is it fair? YES. People ask him on stream if he is addicted to gambling, slots etc and he refutes that statement. He says he is not addicted but plays most days. Then he claims to have a lifetime winning record on slots. Is he cheating or the luckiest man alive? These are deceptive practices when casual viewers see or hear this stuff they think they can be like David. That is close to fraud nevermind deceptive practices!! Plus the dude sits with his bottle of vodka 24/7 yet he is not an alcoholic. TBH I like David and have no issue with streamers doing whatever but most of you deserve to banned according to YouTube rules, sorry.

Only he knows if he is addicted, you dont have a clue. And do you think its vodka in that bottle? Realy?

 
Excellent news that Labowsky is finally banned i must have send 10 fake reports to youtube last 6 months to get him banned

making up reasons from sexual harrasement untill promoting underaged gambling i hope he wont be back

and finally we get rid of the most fake non genuine and above all gay streamer out there.

Whats happened, I had a notification alert on my phone, So i went over to youtube and kim,s  account has been terminated AGAIN.

What the hells happening, I thought the problem was resolved.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation please. Thanks.

 
@adddiction - I would hope with a name like that you would know a little more about addiction

When you do something every day (like go to work or play slot machines) these activities build neural paths in your brain. The more often you travel down a certain path, the wider and stronger that path becomes. If someone plays slots every day (or goes to work every day) there is a definite psychological dependence that develops over time. That is scientific fact. When people retire (or their spouse dies) a bunch of them die too because they no longer travel the paths they spent the majority of their lives traveling.

Also when you sit and drink pure vodka 24/7 you are an alcoholic. That is also a scientific fact. Not only are you reinforcing psychological dependence by doing it daily and constantly, but obviously alcohol is chemically addictive. And yes it's vodka because you can see the progression in his eyes from sober to "get ppaaaaaaaaiiiiiidddddddd"

**it's Russian Standard Vodka and I can recognize the bottle a mile away even though he has never shown the label on stream (I'm not an alcoholic tho LOL)

@davidroshtein- please tell me you are not THAT Roshtein. If that's really you and you are calling David gay, LOL, pot calling kettle black much? Go get a haircut, stop wearing make-up on stream, stop squealing like a teenage girl and perhaps read a book? IF you are Roshtein, you strike me as the epitome of a trust-fund baby. After Shirox you gotta be one of the most hated streamers on the internet
