ban online casino streamers

Strangely enough  I just dropped an email off to the developers of Gamban to enquire whether I can buy licenses on others behalf so I could offer to buy it for people who struggle to pay for it. I will await their response if this is possible. If it is, I am more than happy to buy a license for those that are serious giving up. I won't buy them willy nilly because you are going to have some trolls making me spend on licenses they are never going to use so there will be conditions attached to it.

Should an addict represent a casino as an affiliate? Providing they promote casinos in the right manner and by the law (and streaming is just a small part of the affiliation world, there are thousands upon thousands of affiliate websites about) I don't see a problem with it.

You are concentrating your "war" against the streamers but forget about all those other websites. How many of these are run by addicts? How many of these are run by gamblers? Look at "Askgamblers" as an example. I bet your bottom dollar their revenue from affiliation runs in the millions a year, yet not a peep said about that. And I wouldn't touch some of the casinos they promote with a barge pole!!!
Well that's very admirable and commend you for doing so.

I seriously cannot believe you think it's okay for an addict to promote a casino though. How awful and immoral. It shouldn't be allows to happen. An irresponsible gambler who has lost the lot of multiple occasions who then turns his addiction in to some kind of way to fund their addiction via affiliation is abhorrent. I'm surprised you would say that's okay if I'm honest.

Which streamer has "lost the lot" and then turned to affiliation? And with "lost the lot" I mean gambling has caused them financial / family / emotional problems?

I noticed your selected answer. What about the thousands of websites that promote casinos? Why are they not included in your war to protect the problem gambler?

Well Gamban replied back that I can purchase licenses on behalf of somebody else so will discuss this with them later this week to set up the logistics of this.

You are going to do the same Ryan? At least both streamers and anti streamers are then doing something positive and financially support those that are serious wanting to give up gambling and perhaps can't afford the £10 yearly fee.

Can do this too no problem.

I don't think that any responsible streamer has a problem with it because despite what some think, we don't want to refer problem gamblers to casinos.

If only there was a way of doing that. Anybody who has an answer to it (and no, banning streaming isn't the answer) then I am all ears.

The sooner the global exclusion database comes into force the better because that will stop the problem gambler playing at a casino, no matter which way they are being referred to a casino.

Anybody knows when the database will be up and running?

My whole existence on YouTube is try and help the problem gambler. I will mention it and if anyone wants to email me I will pay for it no problem. However I can't afford the vast amounts that for example the bandit is willing to do. I run my own business and pay myself a wage, which is extremely small despite the large sums the business pulls in (saying this before I get outed as someone making a fortune). Most of my money goes on stock replenishment and building my own business. I pay myself as little as £160 a week sometimes.

As for the streamers who have lost it all. Well the two biggest on YouTube have done exactly that and don't hide from it. I also know of four others (large channels) but I'm not going to name drop here as I get hate. Feel free to PM me if you want to know though

Well it is not a cock waving excersise as far as I am concerned who can afford to pay for most licenses so kudos to you to assist where you can.

Don't get me wrong, I have money but I can't be taking out of my business to fund this. If someone came to me and genuinely needed help I would of course buy it for them. I would do that anyway.

I would like to add something, when the multi operator self exclusion online tool rolls out this year and as long as it's working how it should be and streamers are pushing people towards it I will withdraw from this whole debate.

My issue is with gambling addicts viewing this content and going on to gamble further and with these tools in place I can't realistically argue that the gambler doesn't have enough tools to protect themselves.

Again, we will see what happens and how it functions. If there's loopholes around it or its not being promoted enough I will continue.

Do you know if Gamban blocks gambling videos? Be great if it can.

The reason for my last question is this post I made ages ago

https://casinogrounds.com/forum/topic/839-casino-blocking-software/

There used to be a bit of software called TxNoGam that unfortunately has been discontinued. I tested it for 3 days and not only couldn't I go to casino sites, I couldn't access forums and gambling videos. Very good tool that was!!
To my knowledge there are no options to block gambling videos. I suppose it would be useful to those who gamble offline but gamban doesn't support this I don't think.

I use Gamban personally and have done for months. It definitely works in not allowing you access any site, this includes tipster sites and review sites too from what I've tried

That is a shame.

I will have a chat with them and see if they can or are willing to add my Youtube and Twitch channels.

Guys I think you mean well but blocking software is very easily bypassed without much effort.  All you need to do is go to an online betting site through either a vpn of through an addon like hola.  The global exclusion programme will not work either as their is many sportsbooks outside the eu who dont give a toss if ur an addicted gambler or not. @Slotplayer  I understand its all about will power but honestly some people cant stop.@RyanMcSplooger  Ive read the comments on youtube after the video you made.  I dont know why the streamers cant simply turn round and say yes we are promoting casinos and there is a chance we are being viewed by minors and addicts - THE TRUTH.  Instead they get so defensive.  Yet its you that gets the hassle even though u have said that its down to the person not to gamble.  I would like to ask a streamer like @Nick why he allows known trolls to be moderators in his chat? This is a FACT  so Im not abusing anyone I just want to know why you allow this in ur supposedly reputable channel?

If you can message me who you believe of my mods are "trolls" then i will certainly look into it, but as far as i can see the mods do a good job of blocking vile comments from the usual trolls who pop in everyday.

I am not sure exactly how that particular piece of blocking software works, but if it is anything like the one that I tested (it is now discontinued unfortunately), it sat on your computer and I couldn't uninstall it unless I did a factory reset. Even using a VPN etc. didn't work because it didn't go by IP address. It was even so sensitive that I couldn't get into my Halifax share dealing account.

As a responsible casino or steamer or affiliate, all you can do is give the tools to the problem gambler. If the problem gambler doesn't want to use those tools, then sorry but there is not anything else that can be done.

You mentioned sportsbooks outside of the EU and that they may not give a toss. I would add that they not only don't give a toss, the gambler may even find problems withdrawing if they are lucky enough to be in that position. At least with the genuine streamers, they are being directed to reputable casinos that have been researched, are secure to play at, don't have pirated games and pay reasonably quick. A fact that is often overseen by the likes of you.

I think it's quite clear who the trolls are Nick. The same ones who make fake accounts and talk to themselves on there. You must question why somebody has a spanner on every stream around.

Not going to throw names about but it's very obvious. I would say they cause more trouble for streamers than the actual content.

Some of them live a very sad existence. I say that without being offensive. It's probably not good for them watching these streams all day, not because of the content in their case or because they are addicts it's because they must have very little life outside YouTube.

They watch maybe 4 hours with you, David, Rolla, Jimbo. In fact everyone who is streaming slots they are there with their spanner and the fake accounts, causing fictional drama using multiple accounts sometimes. Take away the army of around 5 or 6 of the super trolls and you would probably find things will calm down. Truth is they must be depressed, lonely or short of confidence to engage in real life activities. I let their comments slide because I know exactly who they are and why they do what they do. I feel sorry for these people as I used to be somewhat of a forum dweller, living a sad existence myself with internet 'friends'. I was a loner so can relate to them in some respect.

They will just drag everyone down in drama and it's not productive. Look, we are here talking like adults and it's relatively drama free. We have nothing more than a disagreement and a difference of opinion. These lunatics make wild accusations and make it about drama and sidetrack the real issue.

There's clear evidence out there if you look hard enough. They have probably been trolling you too under your nose. I understand this is all drama related and they are getting what they want by me even saying all this but seriously, don't be so blind. Look around at the community.

No point having an adult conversation when the insults continue.
You must ask yourself slotplayer why these accusations keep coming up. I'm talking about the mods by the way. If you're not in the 'gang' you're silenced. It's school ground stuff it really is.

I'm not referring to your stream by the way as I don't know who your mods are. Nicks definitely has a few though, I've seen people challenge nick about this before and I guess he's oblivious to what they're doing. What I'm saying is that these rogue mods and the treatment of people angers others. If you have someone who is a troll who controls the live chat it can only end badly.
