Smash the Blocks, Chase the Meltdown

Up to 25 stone blocks sit on the grid before every spin, and your job is to get rid of them.

Any win smashes the blocks touching it, and symbols drop in to fill the gaps. Some blocks crack open to reveal a cash symbol, a bomb or even a scatter. Cash symbols pay only when they reach the bottom of the grid, so you'll soon catch yourself willing them down.

Clear the lot, and Meltdown starts: every symbol except the cash symbols vanishes, and a new grid drops with a better chance of more, and bigger, cash values.

Free Spins in Three Colours

Nuclear tumble free spins

Collect three scatters (some hide inside the stone blocks) and Free Spins start. Their colour decides which version you get.

Green is the standard round, with 6 spins. Add a yellow scatter, and it becomes Super Free Spins, with 8 spins. A red one makes it Ultra, with 10. Both in the same round? Ultra wins. On top of that, every four cash symbols you collect adds a spin and lifts their values.

There's also an optional Gamble if you want to try for a higher tier. It adds risk, so it's one to think about before you click.

Gold Only: the High-Risk Option

Open the Supercharge menu, and you'll find Golden versions of several modes. Switch one on, and the smaller cash prizes are removed from play. It costs more, too:

  • Golden Spins: 15x your bet per spin
  • Golden Meltdown: 175x your bet, straight into Meltdown
  • Golden Free Spins: 400x, 750x or 1,500x your bet for the standard, Super or Ultra version

The RTP stays the same (96.10% on Golden Spins, 96.50% on the buys), so you're not paying for better value. You're paying for bigger swings. The 5,000x cap still applies, which means a 1,500x buy leaves just over three times that to win. The Gamble isn't available on Golden Free Spins.

It's the wildest corner of the menu, so set a budget before you open it.

A Ruined Town With a Sense of Humour

The look is half the fun. It's a ruined town taken over by giant fruit and veg, with a slime-dripping fridge, a gym with a lion on the sign and a bear in dungarees who looks delighted by it all. Even the coins are bottle caps.

Is It For You?

Like your slots busy? Then probably yes.

About one in five spins pays something, though many of those wins are small. The bonus is rarer: on average, it appears once every 292 spins or so, so many sessions won't see it. The 5,000x max win is the other thing to know. It's a decent cap, not a record-breaker, so if giant ceilings are why you play, you may want something bolder.

What LGIAS Thought

Kim on Nuclear Tumble:

"I really like Nuclear Tumble. I think we've made an exciting game for the general audience as well as some crazy bets for streamers. If I have to pick something I like the most, it's the "gold only" feature bet; it's veeeery volatile but fun."

That gold-only option sits in the Supercharge menu, and it's covered above. It's the high-swing end of the game, so keep your budget in mind.

Give It A Spin For Free

The demo costs nothing, so jump in and see how it feels! If you move on to real money, set your limits first and play for fun. The game also has buy features and extra menu options. They can add up quickly, so check the cost before you use them.

18+ only. Slots are entertainment, not a way to make money, and you can lose on any spin. Only play with money you can afford to lose, set deposit and time limits, and take regular breaks. If gambling stops being fun, stop and contact a support service in your country. Availability depends on where you live.
