Where to play
How to Win Big in Victoria Wild – Temple Spins
3, 4, or 5 scatters trigger 8, 10, or 11 Temple Spins. Unlike the base game which plays on a 5x3 reel set, Temple Spins play on a 6x3 reel set which means bigger payouts for longer win lines. During Temple Spins, an alternate ‘Genie’s lamp’ wild is used. Each lamp wild which lands is added to the lamp meter which runs along the bottom of the reels. 7 or more lamps triggers the Wheel of Desire which activates at the end of the spins. The Wheel of Desire has 11 segments; 5 award coin wins (up to 2,500 coins), 5 award win multipliers (up to 25x) and there is a no win segment.
Ocean Spins Sandstorm Tornado Respins Ocean Spins are the game’s other main feature and are triggered by collecting 25 Oasis symbols during base game play. You can chart your progress up the treasure map which covers the area where a 6th reel would be. The trail only resets if you end the session or change your stakes, otherwise play long enough and you’ll eventually trigger 10 Oasis Spins. During Oasis Spins another alternate wild is used which appears as a carved lion’s head. However, upon landing, the wild becomes a Waterfall Wild which pours down the length of the reel to create a fully wild reel. Waterfall Wild’s appear on reels 2-5. During the base game, the wilds are represented by mini tornados. The Sandstorm feature occurs randomly in the base game where between 2-6 tornado wilds are released onto the reels. When a tornado wild collided with an existing tornado wild, Tornado Respins are triggered. All wilds on the board become sticky and the rest of the reels spin again. Another wild landing leads to another respin. The respins continue until no new wilds land.
Look and Feel of Victoria Wild
Victoria Wild looks similar to other games of this ilk, although it’s by no means a clone or copy. The base game scene sees our heroine, Victoria, sat on her mid-century motorcycle in some dry and dusty desert land with the ruins of a long-forgotten village in the distance. The floating reels are housed in a gateway formed by a brick column on one side, a barren tree on the other, with planks of wood connecting one to the other. A vulture atop the barren tree surveys proceedings with his beady eyes. The backdrop changes for both sets of free spins. Predictably the Temple Spins take place in an underground Temple, and the Oasis Spins take place in front of a tropical waterfall. The game features 9 regular symbols, with Victoria Wild at the top of the list. 5 or 6 Victoria symbols pay 24x and 120x, respectively. There is a scatter and an Oasis symbol in the base game, necessary for triggering the two free spins rounds, and there are the aforementioned 3 wild symbols. See the paytable below for the values of each symbol (15 coins = 1x bet size) Victoria Wild has a lot going for it. The free spins rounds are both fun and either can be highly lucrative. Furthermore, you don’t have to trigger the main features for big wins, as it is perfectly possible to score well from the base game Sandstorm feature if those sticky wilds start adding up. Victoria Wild is a fine addition to Yggdrasil’s Masters Series.
