- 7 different special feature
- Random modifiers
- Cluster Wins
Odin Protector of Realms kind of sums up the entire theme of this brand new slot from Play'n GO. Those who aren't familiar with Odin however would probably like to know that he is the ruler of Asgard and one of the most prominent gods in the entire Northern Europe. This all of course means that the game has a Northern Mythology theme to it and far from the first Play'n GO slot with a mythology theme, in fact it isn't even their first slot putting Odin in the spotlight and perhaps not even their last.
One of the first things you'll notice will probably be the hexagon shaped game engine, which is pretty unusual. This is far from the only feature in the game however, as you will be seeing a total of 7 different special features with 3 special modifiers being able to trigger on any spin without any wins.
Where to play
How to win big in Odin Protector of Realms – Cluster Wins
Surprisingly enough, the key to landing the biggest wins of the game isn't through any of the main special features such as the free spins or modifiers. Instead, the Cluster Wins are in focus this time around. As you probably already know, when a cluster is formed, the Cluster Wins feature will be activated. Any winning symbols will then be removed from the grid and then added to a meter. New symbols will then drop in and replace them. These cascades will keep on going as long as new wins are created. You will be getting the maximum win by landing a cluster of the highest valued symbol (the hammer) or wilds.
- Forged Ring features
- Odin's Abilities features
Once a winning cluster has been formed, the symbols will be removed from the grid and then added to the ring meter. Should you manage to collect 30 or more symbols in the Ring Meter, then you will activate one of 3 different levels.
Level 1 – 30 symbols – Activates Bronze Forged feature Level 2 – 70 symbols – Activates Silver Forged feature Level 3 – 120 symbols – Activates Gold Forged feature
When one of these three features are activated, you will see a pattern be created, made up of the symbol in the centre of the grid. The size of this pattern will then depend on the level you have climbed up to.
- Bronze feature – a minimum cluster of 7 symbols
- Silver feature – a cluster between 12 and 19 symbols
- Gold feature – a cluster between 20 and 37 symbols
Next up is Odin's Abilities feature involving three different special modifiers. This feature can be triggered randomly during any spin that doesn't result in a winning cluster being formed.
First up is the Wisdom feature where you start off with an upgrade of the central symbol forming the winning cluster. Next is the Power feature, where if you would be within 5 symbols of triggering the next charge and you have no more wins on the grid, then the Power feature can strike. This will remove 2 random symbol types from the grid, creating a new cascade. The third modifier is the Glory feature, where you are able to add between 2 and 8 wilds to random positions on the grid in order to boost your chances of landing a new winning cluster.
Look and Feel of Odin Protector of Realms
The design and look of this slot is pretty much everything you could want from a Norse Mythology themed game. The setting of the slot will have you right in the kingdom of Asgard with Odin standing to the right side of the reel set, ready to protect what needs protecting. You will be seeing blinking stars on a night sky in the background as well as a statue on either side of the screen, presumably statues of Odin.
The reel set has several different symbols to offer, the low valued ones being represented by low value rune stones in different shapes and colours. In addition to the runes, you will also be seeing hunting horns, swords, shields and hammers, the hammer being of highest value.
