Random Spin Features

The following three feature wilds appear randomly on any base game spin.

1. The Lord: Acts as a regular wild but reveals a random multiplier of 2x or 3x to any wins of which it forms a part. In the event of more than one Lord appearing the multipliers multiply with one another. 
2. The Lady: If the Lady appears and forms part of a win, she may expand to reveal a mystery stacked symbol to create no winning combos.
3. The Baron: Baron wilds are able to infect adjacent symbols vertically and turn them wild.

Locking Multiplier Free Spins

3 or 4 free spin scatters award 8 or 12 free spins after which you choose which of the two options you’d like to play.

During Locking Multiplier Free Spins, a gold pocket watch is added to the symbols on reels 1 and 6. If one lands a random win multiplier of either 3x, 6x, 9x, or 12x is added for that spin. If pocket watches land on reels 1 and 6 the free spins are ‘locked’ for 3 spins and the random win multiplier is held for those three spins.

Resurrecting Roaming Wilds Free Spins

Any wilds which land during Resurrecting Roaming Wilds Free Spins roam around the board during the following spins. If no new wild appears on the following spin the wilds briefly disappear, only to start roaming again during the next spin. If a new wild lands, then the roaming wilds are resurrected and land at random on the board. The latest wild then joins the other roaming wilds and the pattern continues until the free spins are over.

Design & Symbols

Pragmatic Play have created a wonderfully atmospheric slot in Mysterious with top-notch artwork and a suitably spooky soundtrack. The base game scene is set in a narrow Victorian era street at night with animated wisps of smog floating across the screen. In the distance, high on a hill, a large haunted house almost touches the ominous dark storm clouds above. The full moon and the occasional bursts of lightning illuminate the night sky. The square game board is framed in ornately carved wood and occupies the screen’s centre space. 

For the free spins rounds, the action moves up to the interior of the dingy haunted house. The board extends outwards to add the two extra reels, increasing the ways to win to 4,096. Either side of the board sweeping staircases goes up to a mezzanine level with stone pillars supporting the high ceilings. Once again wisps of fog pervade the building. A suitably spooky, Scooby-Doo meets Dracula soundtrack accompanies the play.

Low value symbols are the card suits diamonds, clubs, hearts, and spades. High value symbols are carvings of bulls, rams, owls, and lions. The highest value symbol of all is the Mysterious game logo which awards 25x the size for 6 adjacent symbols. Obviously, this win would only be available in the bonus round, the biggest single pay way in the base game is 5x the bet size for 4 of the Mysterious symbols. Our Thoughts on Mysterious

Pragmatic has really delivered with Mysterious, a winner of a slot on all fronts. The artwork and soundtrack are both superb and combine well to ramp up the atmosphere and reinforce the theme of the game. Both the base game and the bonus games are enjoyable to play. While of course, it’s the free spins which you’re really playing for, some surprisingly decent wins can emerge from the base game modifiers. Although there is no ability to retrigger free spins during the bonus road the wins tend to be substantial nevertheless and can be spectacular, and I found both to be equally enjoyable. With a maximum win of 20,000x the bet size, this game is also packed with potential.

After a few less than stellar releases of late, Pragmatic Play has really returned to form here with a barnstormer of a slot.
