Lucky Streak 1 Slot
Lucky Streak 1, so we are told, is the first in a series of three new slots to be released by Czech provider Endorphina and it made its live debut on 8th November 2018. Described by Endorphina as a “Classic Fruit Game” it is a 5x4 reel, 40 pay line, medium variance slot with an RTP of 96%. Lucky Streak 1 benefits from a gamble feature and an instant pay scatter with a maximum win per spin of 1000x bet size with bet sizes from as little as €0.01 up to €400 a spin.
Design and Symbols
The design is fairly straightforward with the golden framed game board holding the 40 symbols on a blue background, while behind the game board is a static image of bright red flames licking upwards on a dark red background. As you might have worked out from the provider’s own words the theme of Lucky Streak 1 is definitely ‘classic fruit game’, and this is represented by the symbols, which come stacked on all reels. Cherries, Lemons, Plums, and Oranges are the lowest paying and all have the same value (2.5x bet size for 5 of a kind) followed by Melons and Grapes (both pay 5x bet size for 5 of a kind), Bells (7.5x for 5 of a kind) and 7’s, which pay 25x bet size for 5 of a kind. The wild is a golden square and the scatter is a golden star on top of a red rectangle. All fairly standard symbols, but at least they are all nice and bright and in HD. Another nice visual touch is that when a win lands the winning combo of fruit pulsates and is encased in fire. In Endorphina’s own words this is, “a fruit theme designed to warm up every player’s heart”. Well, quite…
Lucky Streak 1 offers rather slim pickings on the special features front I’m afraid with the gamble and scatter options the only diversion from the spinning reels of the base game. Gamble Feature This one will suit the higher volatility lovers and is a feature common to Endorphina games. After every win, you are given the option to either take the win or hit the “Take Risk” button to switch to the gamble screen. The dealer’s card is dealt face up and if you choose to gamble then the next card turned over must be higher than the dealer’s in order for you to double your win. You can do this up to 10 times. Little tip: you may as well always hit ‘Take Risk’ and go into the gamble round because if you see the dealer’s card and don’t fancy your chances then you still have the opportunity to take your win inside the gamble round. Scatter A little disappointingly landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters doesn’t take you to free spins or any sort of bonus round; rather you are just paid a cash win. However, if you manage to hit 5 scatters that disappointment is sure to be extremely short-lived as it offers a 500x bet size pay day.
Our Thoughts on Lucky Streak 1
It’s hard to argue with the provider’s assertion that Lucky Streak 1 is designed for fans of classic fruit slots, and it also has to be acknowledged that a lot of players aren’t especially interested in bonus games, special features, or innovative themes. That said, as a reviewer, it’s hard to get too excited about what is essentially a 5x4 fruit machine with 40 pay lines and not much else. I’m interested to see whether Lucky Streak’s 2 and 3 bring something a little different to the table. However, if you like a classic fruity with no frills and plenty of fruit then Lucky Streak 1 is probably a game you’ll enjoy once in a while.
