Design and Symbols
To follow the Asian theme you will notice along with the backing track and Chinese themed background, that the symbols or symbolise different Chinese characters. The lower paying symbols are of course your most common symbols found in a slot game - J, Q, K and A.
The higher paying symbols include a Chinese bridge, Chinese Kite, and a fortune bat biting coins symbol and of course a Golden Frog. The Scatter symbol also consists of three Chinese lanterns, whereas the Bonus symbol is illustrated by a Wheel with a little lotus flower at the bottom.
In the Gold Money Frog, there are a couple of fun features which can help boost your winnings. The special features in this slot consist of;
- Free Spins
- Bonus Game
To activate the free spins round you need to land three or more Scatter symbols which are denoted by three Chinese lanterns. The Scatter symbol has the ability to pay out your total bet times the multiplier, which means any winnings generated from the free spins round are tripled. However, this excludes any jackpot winnings.
Depending on the amount of Scatter symbols landed you can be awarded either +10, +20 or +30 free spins to enjoy.
To activate the bonus round you are required to land three or more bonus symbols starting from the leftmost reel to the right. The Bonus symbol is illustrated by a Wheel with a delicate little lotus flower at the bottom.
Once the bonus round is activated you can either click the little button to the right of the reels to spin the wheel or else the wheel will automatically spin after a set amount of time. Once the wheel stops spinning it will award you with either coins or a jackpot!
Gold Money Frog, is a well designed and aesthetically pleasing slot game to look at and play. Although we have seen many Asian themed slots hit our casinos, I liked the use the different Chinese symbols which denote the symbols.
For a low volatile game, you do have to prepare yourself for some hard grafting and plenty of teasers before you activate the bonus or free spins round, but hey! The teasers are what keep us on our toes and spinning the reels, so I guess overall NetEnt did a good job to keep their players hooked on the game.
