With a slot name like Double Lucky Line, you would hope to find some special features which might help enhance your luck. 

Although this slot is not packed with features it does offer some good potential to increase your winnings, especially when it comes to the selection of Wild symbols available. 

Double Lucky Line Symbols

There are two different Double Lucky Line symbols. One is solo and one comes as a pair. 

The Double Lucky Line symbol which comes in a pair is counted as two individual symbols when any winning combinations are calculated. 

Whereas, the singular Double Lucky Line symbol counts as 1 normal symbol along a winning payline. 

Wild Symbols

JFTW went a little “wild” when it comes to creating features with the Wild symbol. In this slot you will discover three different kinds:

• Regular Wild
• Double Wild
• Lucky Wild

Regular Wild

The Regular Wild symbol is illustrated by a symbol which has Wild written across it. This symbol has the ability to pay out the highest possible winning combination on a payline. 

Double Wild

The Double Wild symbol is illustrated by the text “Wild” written twice. This feature has the ability to substitute for all double symbols except the free spins. 

Lucky Wild

The Lucky Wild symbol is illustrated by a Golden Money tree and can only appear during the free spins round. Each time the Lucky Wild appears it will add one additional spin to your meter. 

Random Wild Feature

There is also a Random Wild feature which can only be triggered during the base game. The Random Wild symbol can land on any reel, with a maximum of 6 appearing at any one time. 

Free spins

  

There are two kinds of free spins symbols. One is solo and one comes as a double. 

By landing 5 or more free spin symbols on the reels will activate the feature awarding you with 10 free spins. 

If you manage to land more than 5 free spins symbols you will be awarded an extra spin for each additional symbol displayed. 

As I already mentioned, a Lucky Wild symbol will add an additional spin to your meter each time one lands on the reels. This will also result in that position turning into a double position until the free spins feature is over.

Design and Symbols

The design and symbols of the slot game have a Chinese feel. Although there is no background design around the reels, the name of the slot and the symbols reflect the market the slot is aimed at. 

With Golden lucky coins, Chinese dragons Lucky green frogs and turtles, it is clear to see what type of theme the slot follows. 

The border of the reels is draped in ancient Chinese coins, threaded onto a red rope to add to the luck. 

The lower paying symbols are your typical J, K, Q and A which are all written in a Chinese style font. Each suite comes with a double for example; J, JJ or K, KK - which dramatically makes a difference to symbols worth.

Our Thoughts

The simplistic design and layout of the game make it easier to remain focused on the slot and the symbols. 

As a Microgaming exclusive, I have to admit I was expecting a little more out of the slot game and was slightly disappointed with the lack of innovative thought. 

I also feel that JFTW could have used a bit more creativity when it comes to designing the special features as there are so many Wild symbols floating around, or symbols which have similar roles. 

On a positive note, I like the free spins feature and the fact there is plenty of chances to gain additional spins due to the Lucky Wild symbol.
