Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle is quite the mouthful, a brand new vampire-themed slot from the Swedish developers over at Thunderkick. You might be thinking that some of the features you'll be seeing in this slot look pretty familiar, which is completely right. However, Thunderkick have decided to turn things up a notch as the features have been expanded, creating a bigger effect while also offering some bigger maximum win possibilities for players. Something which is always nice to see of course.
Any Thunderkick fans won't have a doubt in their mind about who has created this slot as they have become known for their clear and distinctive design. The slot is set within Crimson Castle with the screen complete with almost a purple glow to it. The bonus features you will be seeing in the game include Massive Mystery Symbols and the Crimson Cash Bonus feature involving re-spins and different modifiers.
How to win big in Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle – Crimson Cash Bonus feature
The Crimson Cash Bonus feature is an exciting variation on the classic streak re-spin bonus many players already will be familiar with. Trigger the feature by landing 5 or more Cash Scatter Symbols on the reels during a spin. These Cash Scatters will then be held in place while the rest of the reels are cleared.
You will start off with 3 re-spins on the reels, which will be made up of blanks and Cash scatters. Should a new Cash scatter land on the reels, it will be locked in place and the re-spins will be reset to 3. Every scatter will have a cash value between x1 and x50 attached to it. Once all the re-spins have been used, the value of the coins will be added together for your final prize.
In addition there are 3 modifiers to spice things up a little:
Pattern Collect feature: 5 symbol positions are illuminated, these need to be filled with cash scatters. Values of all 5 symbols will be added together and the amount is added to the middle position on the grid and doubled. Illuminated symbols will then be removed from the reel set and a new pattern is added. Spawn feature: the gold bat is the spawn symbol of the game. Once this symbol appears it will be able to add a random multiplier boost to the value of all the other symbols on the reels. Copy feature: keep an eye out for the coffin which is the Copy symbol. This will copy the values of all the symbols on the reels onto itself.
- Massive Mystery Symbols feature
- Bonus Game feature
First up we have the Massive Mystery Symbols feature which can land during any spin in the main game. Blocks of 3x3 Massive Mystery Symbols will appear only on the 3 middle reels. These 9 symbol positions will then all transform into the very same symbol which can be anything with the exception of the free spins scatter.
Then we have the Bonus Game feature which will be triggered when 3 or more of the free spins scatters land during a spin. More scatters triggering the feature mean more free spins. With 3 scatters giving you 10 free spins, 4 scatters giving you 15 free spins and 5 scatters giving you 20 free spins.
Look and Feel of Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle
Thunderkick have slowly but surely become known for their flair added to all their designs, with Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle being the perfect example of that. The design and overall look is great and they have done a good job in creating a vampire theme, with candles burning on the walls, bright yellow light shining through the large windows and a purple hue throughout the design. The reel set itself has been framed in burgundy and gold, almost adding a royal touch to it all.
The reels have a total of five low value symbols, represented by Gothic style standard royals in various colours and framed in gold. Then you have the four high value symbols, showing a raven, a red-eyed wolf, a golden gargoyle and of course the vampire Baron Bloodmore himself as the highest valued symbol.
