Apes of Doom by Stakelogic is a 4-reel & 3-row online slot with 10 Pay lines and a 96% RTP. Playable on all devices from €0.1 to €200 per spin, Apes of Doom is a high volatility game with a max win capped at 3 351xx your stake.

  • Unique theme and design
  • Feature Buy + Gamble feature
  • Free Spins feature with re-spins and multipliers

Apes of Doom will without a doubt have your mind going straight to the classic “Planet of the Apes” movie, however this is not quite the direction Stakelogic have gone in their brand new slot release. There will be no apes trying to take over the world here, instead they have decided to rob a bank as they are on the hunt for some cash. In other words, you are in for a pretty unusual and unexpected theme this time around.

While there seems to be plenty going on in terms of special features, Stakelogic has decided to stick to the classics from the looks of it. You will be seeing a re-spin feature with multipliers, multiplier symbols on the middle reels, a classic free spins feature also involving multipliers and both a gamble feature as well as a feature buy.

How to win big in Apes of Doom – Free Spins

Just like in so many other slots, the key to landing the big wins here is through the Free Spins feature. Trigger it by landing 3 or 4 scatters on the reels, which will get you a reward of x2 or x10 your total bet in addition to 10 or 15 free spins respectively.

During the feature, when a winning combination hits, the values of the 3 multipliers found in the hot zones will be added up and then applied, not matter if they are a match or not. Should 3 matching multipliers land in the hot zones but there is no win, they will trigger the Re-spin to Win feature. If you are lucky enough to land 3 or 4 scatters during the feature you will also receive 5 or 10 additional free spins.

Special Features

Apes of Doom Splash Screen

  • Multipliers
  • Re-Spin to Win
  • Gamble feature
  • Feature Buy

Starting off with the multiplier symbols. Each multiplier reels has a “hot zone” position and should 3 matching multipliers land on these 3 hot zones at the same time, their values will be added together and applied to your win. If there is no win for the multiplier to be applied to, then the Re-Spin to Win feature will be triggered just like in the Free Spins feature.

Next up is the Re-Spin to Win feature. During this feature the matching multiplier reels will lock in place and the normal reels will go on to spin again. Re-Spins will then continue until a winning combination has been made for the multiplier to be applied to.

Apes of Doom gamble feature

You also have the Gamble Feature which will be made available after any base game win. You will be presented with the option to gamble your prize money. By picking the right suit or colour on the card, you will have your winning amount x2 or x4, but if you choose wrong, the win is lost.

Finally there is the Feature Buy option. For a cost of x100 your total bet, you will be able to buy your way into the Free Spins feature.

Look and Feel of Apes of Doom

Look and Feel of Apes of Doom

A bunch of cash-hungry apes happen to be the theme of the game as they are planning on robbing a bank, which is not quite as “doomy” as we expected with a title like “Apes of Doom”. The design of the game almost gives off a futuristic vibe to it, with the reel set framed in metal bars and the entrance to the vault seen on the right side. However, during the free spins feature you will suddenly find yourself inside the banks vault surrounded by stacks of cash and gold bars.

Apes of Doom Paytable

The reels are filled with several different symbols, the standard royals J, Q, K and A representing the low value symbols and created with a simple coloured metal design. The other symbols are of course represented by the gang of apes, all with a pretty mean look to them and the highest valued symbol being a glass-wearing ape smoking a cigar.
