Where to play

Special Features

There are a total of 3 different special features in the Annihilator slot, all of them being triggered in different ways. The first of the 3, which is the In Command feature will be randomly triggered and involves wild reels and re-spins. The next feature offers you the chance of getting some cash prizes while the Set the World on Fire feature will reward you with free spins as well as wild reels.

In Command Feature

The In Command Feature will be randomly triggered during the base game. When triggered, the wild symbol showing Jeff Waters which lands on the reels will expand and take over the entire reel, meaning you will end up with entire wild reels. Should several wild symbols land on the reels, you will simply be getting several wild reels.

Should you not get any winning combinations or trigger any features while you have wild reels, you will instead be rewarded with 1 free re-spin. In this case, any wild reels or wild symbols on the reels will be locked in place while the other reels re-spin. You will keep on getting these re-spins until you get a winning combination or a feature is triggered. The In Command Feature can only be triggered during the base game.

Set the World on Fire Feature

Annihilator Free Spins Trigger

There are two different ways to trigger the Set the World on Fire Feature, the first of course being the one explained above. The second is by landing the scatter symbol showing the devil on the reels 1, 3 and 5 all at once during the base game. This feature has of course been inspired by the song and album going by the same name and in the background you will see that the mansion is on fire.

You will firstly be rewarded with 8 free spins which will come with an expanded wild or wild reel on each one of the free spins. The wild reel will be moving randomly towards the right or left before each new free spin. While this happens, it will be creating a trail of fire behind it which can be either on 1 or 3 rows. A wild symbol that lands on a highlighted symbol like these, will end up transforming the whole trail of fire into even more wild symbols.

While all this is going on, you should keep an eye out for the devil scatters as each one of these will be adding 2 or more free spins to your total. That means you can be getting up to a maximum of 50 free spins in this feature.

Fun Palace Feature

This feature will be triggered when you get 3 of the scatter symbols on the reels, which shows Clare the doll. These symbols will have to land on reels 2, 3 and 4 at the same time during the base game for the Fun Palace feature to be activated. When this happens, you will be heading into the Fun Palace where you can see lots of creepy dolls that will be presented to you.

Here you will need to select dolls in order to reveal what prize you will be receiving. Prizes will be multipliers to your total stake. Should you pick a doll that rewards you with a prize worth 1, 2, 3 or 5 times your total stake, you will get to pick again. If you should get a prize that gives you 10, 15, 20, 25 or 50 times your total stake then you will receive your prize and the feature will be over.

During this feature the scatter symbol showing the devil can show up, in which case the Fun Palace Feature will end and you will be directed right to the Set the World on Fire feature instead.

Design and Symbols

Annihilator Design and Symbols

This slot seems to have lived up to all our hopes we had for it when it comes to the visuals. You will be getting all the dark, spooky and creepy vibes as soon as the slot has loaded. In the background you will be able to see the dark building which seems like it might have been abandoned for a while along with spiked metal fences on each side of the reel set. The slot name has of course been placed at the top of the reel set and is in bright red. The fact that there is a playlist available that allows you to listen to the bands music is however the thing which impressed us the most.

The symbols on the reels are unfortunately pretty basic, but not without small details to make them fit into the theme of the game. You will be seeing the standard card suits ranging from 10 to A designed in what looks like cold steel, complete with sharp corners and edges as well as blood splattered all over them. There are also 3 higher value symbols which show a shattered mirror, the iconic Annihilator guitar as well as Alive and her doll Clare. The doll is the symbol of highest value here and pays 1.5, 6 or 30x your total stake for 2, 4 or 5 of them across the pay lines.

The special symbols of the slot of course includes a wild symbol as well as two different scatters. The wild symbol is represented by Jeff Waters himself and will be able to substitute all other symbols in the game except for the scatters. One of the scatter symbols shows an image of the devil while the other shows the doll Clare aside the wording “Bonus”.

Our Thoughts on Annihilator

The Annihilator slot gives off a great first impression, both in terms of design, theme and sound which pretty much always is expected when it comes to slots from this game provider. There are some pretty great details in place, both in the background which has been inspired from one of the band songs which also happens to be the one that gave the slot its title, but also on the different featured symbols. We are of course disappointed to see that they have made use of the standard card suits, but happy to see them splattered in blood for the occasion.

Adding a playlist to the slot is of course a great touch, especially for any fans out there trying out the game. However, we have to say we were hoping for a slightly higher maximum win, as this only goes up to 400x your stake during a spin or a free spin, which is very low coming from Play`n GO. Of course the maximum payout is at 5 000x, but this is of course during the Set the World on Fire feature, but still much lower than many of their other slots.
