My arse would be going a dinger when this goes to court 🀣 he turned down a Β£30k offer to keep quiet then a Β£60k offer and it’s now at the High Court.

If he wins expect big big changes on all terms and conditions across the board.

To summarise he was playing a slot/blackjack machine online, he was credited with Β£1.7m 🀣🀣🀣 he tried to withdraw and obviously it would’nt let him so he punted with the money and it let him gamble with some of Β the credited amount. Odds are against him but if the company hasn’t crossed its t’s and dotted every I, then he could win it. The company hasn’t produced any evidence saying he didn’t actually hit the jackpot which is why it’s gone this far😝 they’ve obviously no idea or they would’ve not offered him a penny, just gave him the old lines of β€œ check our t &c”

IΒ reckon he will be made a huge offer out of court prior and he will not be allowed to disclose it if accepting. I’m calling possibly over Β£100k.

Id definitely have took the Β£60k though offer, I’m a gambler alright but not stupid🀣

Dude is gonna have his last heart attack when he realize that he could accept those 60k or maybe negociate toΒ 80k at least and walk away.

I mean if it was a software mistake, he has no right to receive anything.

Why people are so stupid and greedy sometimes?

Dude's gambling even on real life, 1.7M if court is on his side or 0€ if they prove it was a software mistake. I would definitely cashout those 60-100k 😝

Because the casinoes has endless money to puspone the trial with endless lawyers. The little man doesn't have a chance vs the big casinoes...

100% correctπŸ‘πŸ»Β

The rules are bought and paid for through lobbyingΒ governments( paying them off) then as you say the big casinos are well insured for this type of event. If I was his barrister I’d be advising him to take the next offer, the casino and software provider obviously cannot provide the spin sequence and log to prove he didn’t hit it so have been trying standard big boy bullying by dragging it out in hope that the claimant loses patience and confidence, the claimant seems to have screen shots of the money in his account and him placing other bets using part of the money but I still don’t think it’s enough for a judge to rule in his favour.

i will keep everyone posted on this battleπŸ˜‚

I've read the court file and they have failed to provide the evidence for the 'malfunction' for 10 months now. The judge will be forced to issue the summary judgment in his favour if they continue to fail to do so. They know they messed up, otherwise they wouldn't be offering any settlement whatsoever. I also wouldn't be surprised if this gets settled out of court for 70-80% the amount.Β

The lawyers are probably taking on his case on contingency basis. Meaning that they'll get 10-20% of his settlement or winning amount :) Β

he’s only gone and won the case!!! Get the fudge in there🍾 fair play to the guy for giving it a go, there a plenty who give up early. It boiled seemingly down to them not being able to produce evidence showing he didn’t actually win which in all honesty is pretty poor from BetFred and the providers. An expensive lesson indeed, hope this guy enjoys every penny plus interest payments 🀣 Β and as for the provider I’m pretty sure their stock has took a nosedive.

no doubt us punters will pay this back in the long run but sure it’s a victory for the little guy. @LetsGiveItASpin

If i play a slot and it paid me 10p short than it should have i would take it all the way to the supreme court if needed , every penny is a prisoner in my houseΒ  and i hate being ripped off Β Β  Β Β  :-)

@arnybo_34Β  Thanks for reporting and for the update!

I follow a lot of jurisdiction, had more or less forgot about this one, never thought he'd win the case.

What a result for the fella, fkin scamming bastards tried their best and failed, be funny if resigned up for Betfred and they ask em for source of wealth, getting a big fat middle finger πŸ˜‰
