They have updated there consultation again. Basically as it stands, if  not changed and approved in the Summer:

  • Someone earning around 50k before tax a year can deposit around £120 a week
  • Affiliated streaming is outright banned unless viewers  are vetted  each day to check they are not self-excluded
  • Max stake applied to online remote gaming websites, like the FOBTS, no actual max has been discussed yet

The licence conditions also set additional controls on gambling advertising. These include provisions requiring that all inducements to gamble (such as free bets and bonuses) must be compliant with consumer law, that all reasonable steps must be taken to prevent direct marketing to self-excluded customers, that adverts must not be placed on piracy websites, and that operators are responsible for their marketing affiliates.
Basically If you cannot screen the viewers to make sure they are not self excluded, and then manually check with the operator your promoting that day, you can't stream.

They are also looking to  the irresponsible High Stake videos and the glamorising  of gambling, for example almost all of  a certain streamers videos are like this - were they directly sighted in the report?

In response to a major piece of research commissioned by GambleAware,[footnote 9] the Committee of Advertising Practice is now consulting on the content restrictions in the codes to ensure they reflect the latest evidence and provide appropriate protections for under 18s and vulnerable adults. This process is separate to the Gambling Act Review and will progress simultaneously.

They are also looking to regulate the advertising  and working along with the CAP CODE.

So certain streamers that have A MASSIVE WIN ON MOTZUMA ON A ****RARE**** high stake  --- CAN ACTUALLY be held responsible for utter lies.

Lol this country is just failing big time, once I get my medical licence I'm out of here not because of gambling it's just utter FILTH this country at the moment 1 thing after another.

all the UKGC will end up doing IS 1 billion % DRIVE PLAYERS TOWARDS THE UN-REGULATED MARKET BECAUSE OF STUPID RULES, REGS AND OTHER BUNCH OF BULLCRAP THEREFORE THEIR AMBITION TO PROTECT PLAYERS WILL NO LONGER BE NEEDED, THERE WILL BE NO CASINOS LEFT IN THE UK MARKET, WHO ON EARTH WOULD WANT TO ADVERTISE CASINOS IN THE UK ANYMORE...

ALL THE MONEY WE'VE SPENT IN THE PANDEMIC WE NEED TO FIND SOLUTIONS IN FUTURE TO REPAY IT BACK NOT CUT MORE THINGS THAT PAY TAX/INCOME TO JOBS.

OUR LIVES = OUR RULES FOR EXAMPLE

IF YOU WANT TO GAMBLE = GAMBLE

IF YOU DRINK = DRINK

IF YOU CHOSE TO SMOKE WEED = SMOKE WEED

IF YOU CHOSE TO SMOKE = SMOKE

we don't need stupid GOV and regulatory bodies controlling our damn lives anymore.
gamstop was supposed to help with problem gamblers it's working so let that be that..... it isn't broken so don't try to fix it.

although if I was working in UKGC and had to imply some changes they'd only be in lines with this:

max bet on slots would be £20 (you do not need any higher than this)

age 21+ to gamble.

no TV adverts of gambling during the hours 6 am - 7pm

you can login only during opening times e.g 6 am - 12 pm

this disgusting market is getting worse it'll be gone by 2025.......
