The best gambling movie ever?

What is your favourite movie about gambling, I only have a few and I may need some other good movies.

Mine favourites are:

1. The Sting, classic movie about hustlers making the big hustle. It is a must see if you havent seen it yet. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070735/?ref_=nv_sr_1

2. Rounders. It is almost also a classic. Hit rock bottom and how to get up after that, if you like poker and see people living on the edge it is also a must see. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0128442/?ref_=nv_sr_1

 
Well, being a snooker, pool and american pool player I can definitely say the likes of, "The Hustler", "The Colour of Money" or one of the more modern good ones "Poolhall Junkies".

There's also "21" for those interested in card counting (or who are students), and "Casino" for fans of the more thriller type.

 
Casino - With Robert De Niro is my personal favourite.

If you want a good documentary then Louis Theroux on Las Vegas is awesome - crazy high rollers and lots of footage inside the casinos.

Yes the Louis Theroux documentary is excellent. The two things which really stuck with me all this time were a.) The dude on a massive 24 he losing streak and his mate trolling him to go harder (undoubtedly the worst possible advice) and b.) The old lady. I'm still undecided if the casino were milking her or they just became her surrogate family.... somewhere in the middle I suppose.

 
Although there are few good gambling movies out there, one of them is Matt Damon's "Rounders". But my favorite movie to watch is Casino Royal 007. The good news is you can stream it on Netflix as well.

Whilst I know they have added in and removed certain things from Casino Royale to add to the cinematic effect, and appeal to the mass public... As an ex dealer, I can't watch this movie without screaming at the TV when the dealer does certain things that would just never happen in any casino.

I suppose police officers get must get the same effect when watching crime shows! 😅

Rounders hands down has some of the best movie quotes ever though! Teddy KGB is simply a whole vibe.

A really entertaining gambling movie I'd recommend is "Mississippi Grind" with Ryan Reynolds and the always excellent Ben Mendelsohn - is a great watch for sure!

And another amazing film definitely worth watching is "Uncut Gems" where Adam Sandler is brilliant as a degenerate sports bettor! The whole film is masterfully crafted as an uncut gem itself and is a really immersive ride watching as his life goes on a rollercoaster!
