After some absence I wanted to check the casino on twitch and realised its not there at this moment. Maybe they're in the process of banning russian bot channels or something but this is the first time I've experienced this and I'm a little bit flabbergasted right now to be honest ?

The UK Gambling Commission was investigating Twitch earlier this month for unlicensed casino website advertising: https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2018-12-05-uk-gambling-commission-in-talks-with-twitch-over-casino-streams

They may have removed the Casino category in order to comply with the Commission. This may be (hopefully) just a stop-gap measure until they can figure out how to deal with casino advertising on Twitch, such as banning advertising outright or restricting streams geographically.

I think that they have removed only the streamers which are promoting these unlicensed casinos, I personally think its a good thing.

Keeps the punters safe.

Hopefully they are "cleaning" up the section. It's overdue as well. Way to many channels that are stealing content from others, without their consent, and just putting their own affiliate links in the descriptions.
