Promotional and +EV bets

Hi everybody,

As a lover of sports bets I am always looking for bets that are +EV. Many times websites offer bets that are promotional and give a lot of EV. Other bets give you a free bet in return. Its sometimes hard to find these bets and if I find one why not share it? So that’s why I made this topic, to share all these promotional bets on different websites.

So what I mean is:

-Bets that have increased odds, higher than any site and look to be +EV
-Bets that give a free bet of an equal amount

Often these bets have these rules:

-Short time to bet
- Maximum Stake
- Selected games

What I don’t mean:

-Liverpool @ 1.62 is a +EV bet because there opponents have many injuries

The bet:   Bet builder on Bayern vs Leipzig  
Odds: 1.40 and higher

Restrictions: Open the Advent calander day 5. I think the prize is the same for everybody.

  •     No need to opt-in
  •     Place a Bet Builder bet of minimum €10 on Bayern vs Leipzig
  •    Qualifying Bet must have total minimum odds of 1.40 and a minimum of 2 selections are needed
  •     Immediately receive a 25% Live Profit Boost you can use on the Bayern vs Leipzig match (max stake €25) (It willl be visible in the Free Bets and Uniboost Section)

Anyone interested in taking this seriously should consider registering at websites like oddsmonkey, teamprofit or other matched betting sites (they have trials afaik). You'll get a shit load of +ev registration offers on sports and casino (all legit sites), list of offers going on everyday like those free bets and sections for price boosts like those posted above. Even if you aren't interested in 'matched betting' its probably worth a look as an offers calendar.

I am following this thread, some good nuggets by NeWbZs and anonymousapple.

To contribute to this thread on Saint Nicholas Day I am giving the following advice for people who might not know: 
spend free bets on high odds bets.

To illustrate: imagine a bookmaker offers 1,91 (that is 4,5% vigourish) on pure coinflips.

A bet on 'heads' in a coinflip comes in 1 in 2 times.
With a free bet of EUR 25, for a bet on 1 single coinflip you are getting (1/2*((1,91*25)-25)) + 1/2*0 =  EUR 11,37 in value.

A bet on 'heads 3 times in a row' in 3 consecutive coinflips comes in 1 in 8 times.
With a free bet of EUR 25, for a bet on 3 consecutive coinflips you are getting (1/8*((1,91*1,91*1,91*25)-25)) + 7/8*0 = EUR 18,65 in value.

This is using bets on identical events.
Typical direct bets on higher odds might be bets that the bookmaker takes more vigourish on.

The PokerStars bet i would definitely spend on high odds, if you win you win big and if you lose you get the free bet.

+1 on this. Most (99%) free bets are stakes not returned. You will get most value on it punting high odds. I personally go for horses or accumulators with either on odds above 6.0. Please refrain from putting it on a 1.67 bayern to win and so on. 

If you'd like to convert your 'free bet' into risk free cash (80% retention+, so a 100 euro free bet will be guaranteed 80 euro cash), say the Bet365 deposit 100 for 100 bet credits, take a look into matched betting which is a simple back (with the free bet on bookie) and lay (on exchange).

As a side note, if you ONLY do price boosts and keep taking value bets (which could be arbs), you might find yourself excluded by the bookie from future promotions and stakes restricted, they tend to crack down on this as a business decision because you're not the customer they want to retain.

Now I know little more than the names of these soccer teams, but won't pass op on +EV.

I bet on Bayern to win with a goal by Lewandowski, and livebet on a draw when RedBull was 0-1 ahead.
Also I bet on Spurs to win while the other team got 2 yellow cards :D  , and livebet Spurs to win 10 seconds into the match.
