Online Gambling while on vacation?

Hi all, I have a friend who is a resident of Canada and is registered on an online casino that is legal in Canada. He is going on vacation abroad and will use a VPN to access the site in Canada. He has already passed all the know your customer identify checks. Would the casino have any issue paying out any winnings if they found out he was playing from abroad?

You should never use a vpn to gamble and allways gamble on casinos that are regulated in your state. It keeps gambling safe.

Also if going on holiday you should be gambling free because its a time to rest up.

 
I have had a few occasions where i was abroad and felt like a little punt in one of my favorite haunts - this was back for the recent regulations though.

At the time it was basically up to management's discretion, however, if you contacted support, or your vip manager, and asked them straight up, if it would be ok, than there's obviously no issue. So best thing to do is have the 'friend' ask 😛 

I remember winning and getting paid from abroad, and i didn't need a VPN of course. Having seen a lot of silly Casino rules in my day, sometimes very poorly implemented on scenarios you describe (i.e winning while abroad through VPN w/o Casino consent), usually depending on the winning amount (usually they only pull these when it's a significant win) i'd strongly advise to better be safe than sorry. Naturally you'll find some gambling ventures on your trip, or meet someone/have friends there that can load up their own account and then you could do a split win type of deal etc.

Why not play at some local casino? :) It's a holiday...
