I am ruining myself and N1 Interactive is sucking me dry

Hello,

For many years now I am stuggling with my gambling addiction which I cannot control myself, When my father passed away I lost even more control and I have taken out big loans from my bank that they have given to me while they could easily see all my money goes into gambling, for many years to come I have to pay these back and I will have financial issues for all those years to come.

I live on my own and besides paying my rent I blow the rest of my money on slots not even keeping myself enough money to take care of myself because I wont have enough money left to do so. Every single month for years now I tell myself "this was the last month" and exclude myself from the casinos I was playing on and let me tell you excluding urself or any other "responsible" gambling options really does not help someone like me at all. There is also no equivalent to Gamstom in my country and software that simply blocks some of the gambling sites I can easily bypass. I have even cut up my bank cards, tried to stay off the internet and every month I still end up losing my money

Also there is no win condition for me, if I have money I will lose it to slots, If I win big I will lose my winnings to slots.. couple of months ago I had 100 euro leftover that was basically money to get groceries and I deposit it and had 2 massive wins and turned my balance into 8000 euro and guess what after cashing out I put it back into the casino and I lost all of it I cannot control or stop myself even while fully aware of what I am doing to myself is awfull and my own fault. Every single month I am stressing myself out and having to count my left over money and thinking about how I will get by this month is awfull and very stressfull.

I have played a lot on N1 Interactive ltd. They keep letting me play with them while I have PERMANENTLY self excluded myself and mentioned I have gambling problems multiple times. I want to know why are they able to do this to me? I know it is my own fault for playing but they know I try to stop and cant control myself and they just keep letting me play.

N1 Interactive currently holds 25 casinos, I have SELF EXCLUDED myself currently on 24 of their casinos after this post 25 but every month they have a new casino added to their brand, this time the newest one is called Winny, and if there is not a new casino available by them I go into their live chat and get my account reopened after a 3 day wait time, my account on Maneki Casino which is also promoted by Casino Grounds have reopened my account multiple times now.  On 15 N1 Interactive casinos I have verified myself by ID and always they just let me keep playing while I have told them myself on other casinos on that brand "Please permanently close my account I have gambling issues"

I have tried to instead of gambling to watch more of @LetsGiveItASpin @Nick @Slotspinner I always really enjoy watching their streams but it sadly cant replace real gambling to get my gambling fix for me, I have also tried to block myself from watching any gambling related content it just does not work for me.

If someone has/had similar issues id like to hear how you are able to cope or got out of a big gambling addiction and depts I want to know how can N1 Interactive keep taking my deposits? this must be illegal? I have litterally begged them to Permanently stop me from gambling and they just keep letting me play on their platform.

I apologize for my big wall of text and doubt many will take their time to read all of this I just really felt like getting this out there.

Sad to hear mate, about loans you could try making a complain to the lender but you may be successful to get claim and money back from lender is when at the time of giving you a loan you have been finically struggling and you can proof that with letters of missed payments of any kind.  Try looking at www.payday.claims

About your SELF EXCLUDED by UK law if you are SELF EXCLUDED on lets say( first casino from n1) and you go to other sister site and make a account and you deposit they have too give you refund of all your deposits. But it depends where u from.

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm glad you're willing to tell us.

I don't know what country your in and I don't know your current financial status, but by your message I'm sure that once you've found a solution to permanently block gambling you will be the old you in no time. Stay positive and stay safe :)

If you ever need someone to talk with, perhaps about other things than gambling to bring some distraction, please feel free to shoot me a private message any time.

Hey there,

N1 is a shithole group of casino's but you will not get your money back and your losses are your fault, not theirs.

For the long run you need to stop gambling and probably to change your habits.

Some good news since you are from the Netherlands: from September 1st, 2021 online gambling will be regulated.
This will make it very difficult to be able to gamble in unlicensed casino's, and for the licensed casino's self-exclusions will be respected.
So from that date on, it should be a lot easier not to gamble online.

What you need to do first, is to make sure that your next payday or salary is not gambled away on the same day or the day after.
For that you could impose online spending limits on your bank account for around pay date right now.

Next is to make sure that you will not gamble away too much if anything  in the rest of the week/month.
For that you might want to automate some recurring payments, maybe withdraw a big chunk of your salary in cash so you can only spend the money
on groceries (because of the lockdown) .

Once you have not spent all your spare money on gambling for a month, you'll appreciate and hopefully make it a habit.

Hang in there.

p.s. for help you might join Gamblers Anonymous, discuss your problem with family/friends/doctor/psychologists, install https://betblocker.org/ or http://www.gamblock.com/
Don't let gambling ruin your life. It is never too late to stop.

Hey Dennis,

I made a CG profile just for you, to PM you about the addiction you mentioned above.

As a addicted ex-gambler i can talk to you about some stuff and maybe start a conversation!

I'm Dutch just like you, so maybe it will help talking about it :)

Hello,

I am aware that gambling will be regulated and I can exlude myself and I will definitely make use of that but I just hope this wont be delayed and if there is any loophole to get around this system than it will be just the same as not having this self exclusion in place at all, I have never played on shady unlicenced or curacao licenced casino because you sadly dont even need to find those "proper" casinos still gladly take you money.

Sadly I have already tried taking my money out in cash, this still made me gamble so I had to deposit my cash back into my bank account, My bank also had a 30 day savings account which meant if you wanted to take money out of it than it would take 30 days before it got into your spendable account, suddenly they stopped this service and I found out by requesting to take out money and it got into my active balance straight away.. you can figure out what happened to my savings money.. its gone. I was actually doing better because I had money I could not touch but havent been able to find a replacement so far that locks your money for a couple of weeks or a month.

I have tried one paid blocking software in the past and to bypass it toke little efford.

I am not saying ur wrong and these things dont work but sadly I have gone so far myself and sunk so deep that these things have not worked for me so far.

That n1 interactive kept taking my money but also my own bank actually make me very upset aswell. I am not going to blame anyone for my own mental issue and being unable to restrict myself but looking back at the time when I got my first loan my bank statement was full of deposits, my money was in the red not able to pay upcoming bills and other loan companies have denied me for that reason but my own bank that can look at much more information that any other of the loan company were fine with providing me loans. If they just denied me aswell I would have issues but much less severe.

Hey Dennis. Do you have someone that you can trust to help you manage your monthly income? That can help out a lot.

I never had any issues with N1 casino's, but I've seen some terrible stories pass by.
N1 is very generous on their bonus offers and it's pretty much impossible to break the terms.

They indeed open a lot of casino's these days, but your issue is an overall issue with gambling addiction.
In the end it doesn't really matter where u play. U will always find a way to gamble.
Once u exclude from trusted casino's, u will continue on the really, really bad ones. Don't go there..

Right now it's impossible not to gamble if u want to gamble from the Netherlands. Seek help.
Gambling addiction in the Netherlands is Taboo, non-existent and not accepted. (pretty much😅)

It may be hard, but I would advise to set a limit on a trusted casino and stick to it. Keep track of your winnings/losses.
Download an audit every month to see what gambling is really doing for you. And best is to find someone close to help u.
It may be taboo, but once u throw this topic into a group, u will be surprised what stories others got.

If u think u are spending to much money, u may consider opening a 30-day or 60-day savings account with your bank.
Any transfers will take 30/60 days to reach your payment account. Once u tilt, it's best to not have any direct access to funds.
I personally only use Skrill wallet for gambling transactions, there is a set (weekly) amount and any withdrawal is a nice extra.

As many others here I can probably write 25 books regarding gambling addiction.
The thing is; anyone here can give u great advice, but u need to find something that works for you.
Gambling should never negatively affect you personally; money-wise, time-wise and mentally.

Keeping yourself busy with other things. Not as easy during the pandemic but other hobbies, interests to keep you occupied and even away from your computer/phone if that is needed. Friends, family or a significant other can always be helpful.

Is there someone you trust who you could grant control of your finances too?

Someone who won't crumble and give back control the first time you test them?

Access to all your accounts and access to your credit report so they can see you are not setting up any new bank accounts/credit accounts.

Control your bank account, pay your bills with your money, put some of it onto a supermarket card so you can only spend it on food. You need someone to exercise control for as long as it takes for you to regain control.

Jesus Christ mate, hope your able to get things under control and there always plenty of ppl on here to listen buddy, I'm on gamstop myself for five years but I don't even think if you could access this it would help as ud prob find a dodgy casino to play on, it's def a deeper issue, I know myself I can go and gamble other casinos but I don't, it's taking over your life buddy, hope you feel better and get the help you desperately need, much love

Thanks for sharing this . It is hard to be in that spot. I'm not by myself so the solution i found was to transfer all og my money to my wife. Every paychech is transfer to her account. I can keep 100 euros to use on gambling when i feel the need to. And she transfer money to me when i need to buy things for myself or us. The rest after we shared anything else that month is put away om a closed account that we both have to permit a redraw from. It has been a lifesaver for me. No money on account, no money to gamble. And no, she does not give in on give me extra gamble money at all. But that is how it works for me and i' happy about that ( for the most part) . Hope you will find a fix that works for you too.

Feel sorry for u bro. I made the same mistake as u and was chasing loses. Had a good life before i started with slots, 3 years and all i had was gone. Dont play any more, accept your situation and worh for better days to come. i havent played now for 2month and my salary is stabil on my bank acount and not in some casino. The thing i did was, block every oppertunity to deposit, and put me on gameblock. Now i dont even feel like i wont to play. i have started to pay off my loan, got an extrajob aswell, sold the car and paid the money on the loan. casino took everything from me but thts is history now and only by working hard i can make ny situation better. I hope u stop playing and start to build up your life. good luck bro and i wish u and the rest of good hearted menbers ho gave u advise here the best❤️💪

I personally suffered for over 6 years on and off with a very hardcore addiction to gambling. Nothing was ever enough and it was never a problem in my mind at first.

You've made a big step and pointed out that you realise its a problem. The problem you have is your getting around things designed to help you ..as such fuelling the fire.

Some banks offer gambling controls on accounts.. You set it to block gambling transactions and if you want to unblock it then it takes 48 hours so hopefully the urge is gone.

The only way to help yourself is to remove financial control from yourself. Is there anyone in your family who can help watch your money?

The other way is to limit access to devices for a while. Maybe some counselling would be an idea it appears that since your father passed you've become more prone to gambling dangerously...I lost a relative and I too hit it hard but realised how dangerous it was.

Best of luck I hope you sort it out soon

Hey i would totally recommend sharing this problem with someone you fully trust and ask if they could manage your finances for you. It's easy for people to recommend gamestop etc but there are so many unlicensed or crypto casinos out there that it's extremely easy to bypass..

Don't get tilted by the fact it already happened but try and look forward.

Best of luck!
