Game feedback for TikiPop™ by Avatar UX: this is a good game.
Whenever a game with the PopWins™ mechanic is released, I am excited to try it out because it is a very nice game mechanic that has not been used too often.
So I have been playing this game a lot for days before this promo started, on minimum stakes
Sound, Graphics and theme of this slot: all are okay.
The background music is in line with the theme, classical music tunes are used when big wins have been hit.
The graphics on this one are bright and clear.
However it is not intuitive for me which of the high symbol should pay the best, and the colour scheme could be improved on in my opinion.
I'd recommend to have fixed and consistent colours for all of the cheap symbols (9TJQKA) and for corresponding High Symbols.
(i.e. for example Jack Green, Queen Blue, King Red, Ace Purple, and 4th High Green, 3rd High Blue, 2nd High Symbol Red, Best High Symbol Purple.
Having the super top symbol in Gold is obviously fine.)
Tiki Pop has the 3rd best High Symbol matching with colour of Queens, 5th best High Symbol matching with colour of Kings, and the colour of Jacks not matching with any high Symbol.
Also Pink and Orange High Symbols pay the same, but the other colour High Symbols pay better. From just seeing the symbols I wouldn't know why.
Theme: this is Mexican Temple/Mayan theme and/or Tiki statues.
I thought the both were two different things, but I don't care much. Both themes have been used quite often.
Bonus buy: I am a big fan of bonus buying in slots.
Also I find a gambling wheel to reach the best bonus very exciting, but it encourages irresponsible gambling too much.
The bonus buy gamble has been introduced quite a while back in 'Extra Chilli', and after that seen in Cherry Pop and Bounty Pop.
From a player's perspective, when the gambling does not go well: with a regular bonus buy I lose 100x (or whatever the BB price is) for a minute of playtime. During and after a bad bonusround, the player has some time to consider buying another bonus round.
With the gambling wheel and even with a reasonable chance of 1 in 4 of reaching 15 spins from 7 spins, I'd lose 500-800x in a minute when the wheel does not hit. Without seeing any game round play out.
Also, players that do not have access to bonus buying or players who don't want to gamble it all up to 15 spins, might feel that the best wins can only be bought and therefore not play this game as much.
Onto the stronger points of this game:
There are fewer different symbols on the paytable than in Bountypop and Cherrypop, which is a good thing.
I think it'd probably be best if the number of High Symbols equals the number of Low Symbols.
All win sounds, pop sounds, sound of scatter symbols falling, win and pop animations etc. are very enjoyable and Tiki Pop just plays very nice,
in the base game as well as in the Bonus game.
In the bonusgame the adding up of multiplier, expanding the reels to max height and the reward for reaching that
(2-4 extra spins and increasing multiplier step from 1x to 2x) is exactly right.
In the basegame, doubling the win as a reward for full height columns is good, see below game clip.
If the 15 spins could be reached more easily by other way than heavy gambling and with some slight sound/graphic/colour improvements,
TikiPop would be a really great game. As is, still a good game that I'll be playing sometimes.
Just not that much, as I don't want to be tempted into heavy bonus buy gambling.
Entry for the promo: with some very good scores on the leaderboard already (congratulations!) I may not try to reach top 5.

I have recorded these myself, but have found out later that this game features a 'replayer' from the game history for the last 10 game rounds.
I'd appreciate if other people posting their wins would link to the game round replayer. I prefer seeing clips of winrounds over screenshots.

Bought 4 bonuses at first and every single one busted on the first spin. Did another bullet, busted the first try on the first spin again and on the second one decided to stay after the first successful spin. All good now.
