Hey I found the new Gemix2 today.

The official Casinogrounds slotpage where you can rate it 1-5 stars is here: https://casinogrounds.com/slots/gemix-2/

My first impressions for the game: it resembles Gemix1 a lot, which is a good thing because that is a top 25 all-time slot.

The graphics and sound have been tweaked a bit, in my opinion not really any improvement but a very good job nonetheless.

New is the fourth 'guardian': the airknight.
In addition to the miner, the princess and the wizard we now have this airknight who leaves two 2*2 super wild blocks with a 2x multiplier on the grid.

On a closer inspection I see that the guardian and Supercharge mechanisms have been tweaked and altered a little bit.

Now it is possible to get additional Guardian effects after the initial one, where in Gemix 1 you always had only the 1 effect from a single guardian.
Also, when you reach Supercharge, you get all 4 special effects, similar to Viking Runecraft.

A drawback for me about Gemix2 is the pace of the game which is way too slow on normal and on turbo autospin.
(with the spacebar pressed all the time a superturbo speed is available though)

Unfortunately EUR 100 on 40 cents spins was gone in no-time, I got one supercharged from it for about 20x and further nothing bigger than 10x.

Overall a good game in my opinion, 4/5 stars. I will play this more often and get a better win / sense for volatility.

I have made a 4 min. clip of my gameplay, enjoy playing this game!

@vanHooff so I never played the original Gemix, but have gave this a good go. Is it normal for the game to take 400x stake with ease, only fille the supercharge meter once and pay about 10x.

Is this normal and how the hell does it pay 7500x? Does it matter what world you're on and does changing stake affect progress?

No it does not / should not really, other than that it determines which guardian special effect you get first, i.e. the airknight gives the 2 2*2s, the wizard gives up to 5 sticky wilds, the miner gives up to 10 wilds, the princess gives up to 7 semi-adjacent wilds.

I am not sure yet, variance is said to be 'medium'. I did not think much of losing 400x stake in no-time.

Good question! First of all it does not, but it should chuck out 1000x once every month or so.
In the original Gemix, very rare huge wins were gotten in a few ways.
One of my favourite ways to win was with the sticky wilds of the wizard. Unfortunately this mechanic has been reduced from a maximum of 8 sticky wilds to a maximum of 5 sticky wilds.

I think we'll see more smaller wins over time, because of the series of special mechanics when you reach supercharged. This is similar to what happens in Viking Runecraft and different from reaching supercharged in Gemix1.

We'll see if this game is going to be popular or not.
I had a lousy test run on this game, but I think this is a decent game and played it at 96.26% RTP on Unibet.

I tried it yesterday at was instantly turned off.

I'll include a screenshot to demonstrate what turned me off (in play money mode purely to demonstrate)

we now have this airknight who leaves two 2*2 super wild blocks with a 2x multiplier on the grid.
This is what pissed me off; it isn't a 2x2 wild with a 2x multiplier - it is 1 wild symbol the size of 4 normal symbols with a 2x multiplier.

In my head, if the game requires 5 symbols minimum to make a paying connection and has a feature that drops a big wild, that occupies 4 squares on the grid, it should connect with every symbol nearby as everything is now a 5 connection.

See, in my head it should be paying here for 6 purple, 6 dark blue and 6 light blue. It's not paying for anything, the 0.64 is from whatever connections the other wild connected with.

Seems counterintuitive to me.

Agreed, calling the airknight special effect a "2*2 super wild blocks with a 2x multiplier" is exaggerated, sorry!

I had two big wilds one symbol apart and didn't even pay a win. I was so confused. By my reckoning it should have at least gave one 9 of a kind win at 2x.

@vanHooff thanks for the swift reply. I'll keep plowing on with it, cos intrigued to see how/when it does pay something decent.

Unibet have this as exclusive for a few weeks I believe, so they must be expecting it to be a popular game.

Complete session recorded, I lowered stake to 20 cents to entice the machine to give something back, and it worked like a charm.

"Official World Record Mega Super Dooper Win of 210.4x.
Tilt starts at 01:20, the win spin is at 01:43 until the end of the clip.

40 bucks gained in 3 minutes, that is an hourly of EUR 800!
