Eff you hooyu! (Bet MGM card verification)

Just a warning to anyone playing at BetMGM (and therefore probably all of the Leo branded properties), I just had to verify my card. Not at deposit, where it should be done, but at withdrawal. They use a piece of shite company called hooyu to do it. I've experienced them before, applying for bank accounts which I didn't get those as I was unable to get past their nonsense.

They kept telling me my card was blurry, (which it wasn't). I contacted chat and they said there was no way for a human to view it, it had to be done via hooyu, saying as long as hooyu keep rejecting they'll keep my money.. Eventually it accepted one, (indistinguishable from the others to my eyes) and presumably I'll get my money, but bad show by BetMGM, using  an absolute crap company.

Update to this, several months later they've decided that to process my new withdrawal  they need a picture of my old card, one I'd lost months before the OP issue. My balance has been at £0 many times since so all money in my account is from my new card. They want me to head into my bank and get a signed copy stating the old card used to belong to me, claiming it's UK regulation when NOBODY has ever asked for this before so it is NOT UK regulation. What a bunch of jokers. Will not be depositing here again.

It's reading stuff like this that makes me glad I use crypto casinos now and not UK ones.  Yeah I've read people saying they can be dodgy... blah blah etc, but i've never had any issue.

But what you've said here is just.... wow.  Never heard anything so ridiculous in my life when it comes to verification.

So I went to my bank, which is not in a convenient location, and got a letter. I scanned it and they said We don't accept scans. I took a picture at the best quality that my phone can do, they say the quality isn't good enough, it's too "blurry" :tf:  What a Catch 22: the device that will create a crystal clear copy is banned, the less clear copy created by my phone is "too blurry", (although it's not blurry at all, it's perfectly readable). This is ridiculous strongarming of my money and BetMGM should be ashamed. is there a BetMGM rep here?
