Hello,

I'v noticed that the thread "How much money do streamers make?" have been taken down from this forum:

So I was just wondering whats up with that?

the topic in question was removed due to an invasion of a person's privacy (which everyone is entitled to) in line with our registration terms, where it states the following:

"You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this website to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law."

Ehrm ok, so just to clarify. I'ts ok that everyone knows the real name of the streamer, where the streamer lives etc etc. But, to talk about earnings is the thing thats "invasive of a person's privacy"?

And I don't even think it broke any "invasive of a person's privacy" rule. How can it be "invasive" when all that was said is public information that anyone can find easy by a google search?

If you only had removed one POST from the thread containing the "invasive of person's privacy" there would have been one thing, but now you remove the thread itself? What will you do next time someone asks how much a streamer makes?

I just think you guys are censoring the question.... It's just sad to see thats all!

 
I know all my neighbours by name , but I don't know how much anyone of them makes per month. The thread was moved because the discussion got carried away a bit, and if you or anyone else like to know how much a specific streamer make, ask him/her. It's up to them to answer that , cheers :D  

 
It's not up to them though if they live in Sweden, and have said their name to the chat. If you know the name of the streamer all info about his/her income, companies etc are PUBLIC INFORMATION. So no one has to ask them really.... Do you get it?

For future searches and people who want to know what streamers make, i will say this in a way thats not "invasive of person's privacy":

If you know the real name of a big swedish streamer (smaller streamers usually dont have a company yet), search for his/her name on the site allabolag.se or hitta.se or ratsit.se to find out what companies they have and how much money the companies brings in.

You can check out the swedish streamers if you want then, but the others you just have to ask in PM. They sure dont have to post it here on CG  it's totally their call. Have a good day :)

It's not a question of legality, or what you can or can't do. It's a question should you or shouldn't you, and since the person(s) do not wish for their personal information to be posted and dissected in public forums, you shouldn't.
