Casino starting to take credit reports (UC) on swedish players!

Just to clear this up on CM. Videoslots have not done a SOW of wealth prior to taking UC report right? @Tourettesguy this was done without you're knowledge and without you having sent any Source of Wealth documentation? Can you confirm this

Ive been member of VS a very looong time and been VIP before they took all that away when the new swedsih gamling laws startet. And Im pretty sure Ive had to answer questions about my income in order to be able to make withdrawals again at VS. Dont remember if it was a "paper" document or just lots of questions inside my VS account. Im currently checking with them when thsi was done. 

This UC credit report was done without contacting me, you see yourself their reason...and that they did it themselve because" they didnt wanna disturb me"...thats a heck of bad explanaition... 

Im still have an on going communication with VS and will get back here when I gotten answers on serveral question, for ex why they did a credit report on me right now, what kind of information they requested (income or just identity), why they used the UC register of all other and if now the Swedish gamling law require this like they say they should have done this to all Swedish players Jan 1´st 2019 when the law were activated...not 11 months later. They seem to work ard to awnser all this questions and they will get back to me.

 
They have zero right to check a credit file without advising you in writing and for you having a chance to decline. This can be a red flag in mortgage applications.

 
I'm absolutely not a fan of doing these credit checks in any way but with regards to it being a red flag in loan applications I think this is exaggerated. To my understanding it _can_ be a red flag if one has applied for lots credits - like unsecured loans and mortgage applications - but I don't think this would qualify under that.

Regardless, when it comes to SOW it seems like this is a real poor way of doing it. An UC might show zero income with the player still being a billionaire..

This would apply to me, as I live in Sweden and Work and have all my income in Denmark. A UC on me would show 0 income, giving quite a skewed look into my economy.. Fyi not a billionaire... Yet ?

In the UK, Underwriters for loans have openly admitted that this is a potential red flag.

Yes, think I said so as well :) However, in these checks you can see where the check came from and for what, so I don't think this would be grounds for a red flag. Large amounts of credit/loan applications probably are though.

 
Just to make it clear, all these blank checks are not from Videoslots, they are normal except they are hidden on this particular check Videoslots did, still Videoslots see my history of how many checks. No information I wanna leave to Videoslots. Still dont know if Videoslots check are recorded or invisible for others, waiting for answer from UC themselves.

They say there should be a legitimate reason for a credit report, I say there is not a legitimate reason, I dont play on credit for the casinos own money, I dont loan from the casino. If I play on credit with a credit card a report have been made when I got the card. 

If Im wrong then anyone can take a credit report on me if I buy milk in a store with a credit card. Also, I dont even use credit card at Videoslot, only Trustly and a prepaid card sometimes.

Please ask UC, and also ask spelinspektionen about their view on it. Remember to tell you already have passed a SOW. 

Would be interesting for the other swedes to know if its actually legal, or if it violates the regulations.

There is no, you need to do this or that, at least when I read it. So taking out a UC I guess is some Casinos way of contacting a player *SarcasticSmask*. I prefer the Rizk approach, gives you a choice at least.

So you mean that they are not following the law if they NOT contact a player that has set a limit higher than 10.000sek?

In that case I have a couple of casinos that broken the new law on that point. I set 1 mil sek limit on one site and no question, mail nothing.

Not even after depositing 1 million sek in 2 days and loosing it. I Wonder if that can be a case of getting some of the money back then because they clearly not followed the law in that case and in the sense of responsible gambling too.

Already emailed Spelinspektionen and UC waiting for reply. Videoslots confirmed today they have had me do a SOW in the past and will come back to me about when I did it... Think it was about a year ago.

Did you deposit and loose 1 million in two days? If so please take a long break, i know it is your own money sounds bad

Yes that is what is stated in their questions and answers:

Om en spelare höjer sin insättningsgräns eller anger en högre gräns än 10 000 kronor per månad ska licenshavaren kontakta spelaren

Taken from their page

My personal opinion is that its quite low. You also need to remember it a deposit limit, not you actual deposits

Swedish Spelinspektionens answer:

They say there is nothing in the Swedish gamling law that says a licence holder have to take a credit report which Videoslot Ltd claims.

I have now both Datainspektionen and Spelinspektionen on my side, what do I do now?  

 
Send the info to videoslots and ask them on what premiss they do make the credit report. 

Or put it on 'CM thread and hope (will not happen') that VS rep will give you a answer.

Done that and still waiting for answer, support have said 2 times they are still waiting for answer from right department and will come back to me asap. 

Have also asked Swedish Spelinspektionen what they are doin when a gambling company with their licence take credit reports on people and say they have to according to the Swedish gambling law. 

And also written to Datainspektionen again which Spelinspektionen are referring to what I should do now when Videoslots Ltd have sensitive information about me I didnt want them to get without asking me first? Even if Videoslots Ltd remove their traces in the UC register they still got what they wanted from me. 

Its like I shoot and kill a guy with a gun, then I put the bullet back into the gun and everything is ok again.
