Betting on Exchanges

I have been betting for a long time and i am still curious as to why people would still bet on bookies instead of exchanges? Exchanges will always have better odds 99% of the time (the 1% being arbs which will be cut extremely quick) - even after factoring in commission with the largest exchange offering a basic package of 2%. I stake around 250000 pounds on sports every month and its pretty much on exchanges most of the time unless im using 365 for their 2 goals up pay as a winner offer (which has been around for years).

Betdaq - owned by GVC Holdings (2% commission on net winnings/0% on some sports)

Smarkets - UK based exchange (2% commission or 0% (up to 1 million pounds/1500 bets with a ~10 pound subscription) - i use this one since i pay 0 commission as long i stake below 1 million pounds.

Betfair - Largest sports exchange in the world. Choose between 8%/5% and the basic package of 2%

I'll take out Matchbook because of their different commission structure but its still <2%.

A 1000 euro bet on Brighton v Burney would net 1(+860) X(+2500) 2(+3200) on Leovegas while being 1(+930) X(2750) 2(+3500) on 0% commission or 911/2695/3430 on 2%.

Live betting 1000 euros on the Next US President would net u Joe (+90) or Trump (+510) on Leo while Joe (+150) Trump (+660) on 0% commission or 147/646.8 on 2%.

You can even do your parlays/accumulators on exchanges now. So i don't see why an average joe would want to punt on a bookmaker instead. Only exceptions i can see are when they are doing certain offers like money back, refund, acca bonus or 2up on football (365/paddypower), best odds guaranteed (horse racing), deposit match bonus and other offers. Even for football offers there should be no reason to bet on other websites when bet365 have 2 goals up pay as winner offer and they offer much better odds than most bookies out there. It could also be possible that there are no exchanges in your country (US etc) or they charge u higher commission (very few countries)

So i am just curious why would you as an average punter put your money on bookies like skybet (horrible odds) or just any other bookie in general if you are not taking offers.

Other than offers I take from Casumo, LeoVegas, and Bet365, I make my sports bets with Pinnacle, who have excellent odds. But I suppose Pinnacle is not a typical bookie.
