Hey guys, I have been playing Battle of Slots ever it came out. Personally I though it was pretty clever to create a tournament style like poker tournaments with freerolls, rebuys and freezeouts. Having said that the developement on this format seems to be at a standstill as the rotation of slots that you can select is pretty small resulting in the same old tournaments with the same old slots. Also Netent seems to have a share in this since most of them are played on Netent machines at least the bigger payout tournaments.

If tournaments were played on the most popular machines like Reactoonz or Danger High Voltage probably more people would be playing. Also a mobile version is needed and bugs from the early days need to be fixed, like on the rebuy tournaments when your spins run out but you had it on autoplay you literally have to restart 4 times before you can see your spins to continue. And while on this the default setting when starting a tournament should be on the lowest stake.

In the end of course these tournaments are made to have a competition and it would be silly to think you can make money of it but that does not mean it should just stay the same. Make it more appealing for the masses.

Feel free to share your thoughts and maybe just maybe they will pick it up for the better.

There was a Reactoonz freeroll the other day, not the sit n go ones but the daily ones every couple of hours.

They are still having teething issues with the battles also. One was cancelled last week after 1 hour.

A question on a lot of peoples lips about these "freerolls" is that the spins contribute to the overall RTP of the slot in question, and obviously there is no cash prize but wager free freespins. So somebody is cashing in when they occur, otherwise they wouldn't be continuing.

Definitely more games need added, but also a change in structure, bigger prizes per sit n go but a larger playing field (say 100 participants)

I love them freerolls on videoslots,i was lucky to win gonzo and book of dead.but i always wonder if u play them or if u choose demo mode do u connect with the slots like real money or is it like different version with diff rtp?

very intresting so far.....dose the wagering go towards the zero rtp???

if you think of a hundred million spins.....does the freespins go towards the rtp which is never paid directly to an account, although at such small doms.....but millions of spins add up....

geting confused??

You guys are confused about rtp..

It doesn't matter if you play 10 billions spins on a slot . The next spin you do the rtp will be the rtp . It doesn;t change (unless it's a game with progress bars giving bonuses or increasing progressive jp or some added feature like that) . So worrying that getting big hits in freerolls is "eating up all the rtp" is complete nonsense

Well, yes and no. There certainly wouldn't be much movement in the payout % but they advertise the RTP as averaging at say 96%, the game pays out a lot of money meaning realtime % payout ends up over 100%, which means to balance itself out it has to play below its average RTP for a bit. The % always fluctuates a wee bit. This can easily be viewed on videoslots which shows current game payouts %.

The thinking behind it is whether the casino (when you enter freerolls) uses its own money when people play the freerolls, gets the money back/loses a bit/wins a bit from the spins after the freeroll and then hands out the free spins. I mean is it real money play but you don't win anything barr the chance to win free spins?

It's not compensated . It doesn't have to "balance itself out by playing below rtp" . It's like if you win on roulette 100 times in a row the next spin is still just a wheel and a ball... slots are the same . The slot is the same each spin it doesn't matter how much you won or lost on it previously

RTP is the average return you will get on a spin . It's not some longterm figure that needs to be arrived at .. people get confused because they hear that rtp is over billions of spins but all that means is that because there are so many different possible payout combinations you need to run it for a lot of spins to test it properly . It doesn't mean that the rtp has to increase or decrease depending on results so far

Regarding testing a slot . If a slot can payout 3000x on one spin then just doing 10000 spins on it might get massively incorrect results if one of those spins happens to be the max win of 3000x . You see this could easily give an rtp of over 100% after 10000 spins . This is why they need to run it for billions of spins so that even the massive single wins won't skew the results . Because after billions of spins the results will converge on the true rtp figure . They can still be a long way out but being £10000 over rtp after 10000 spins is significant whilst being £100000 over rtp after 10 billion spins is pretty insignificant

Not sure how this topic got from Videoslots Battle of Slots to RTP theories :)  Back on topic, played the €10 and €5 rebuy and €5 freezeout, pretty dry. It is pretty obvious early game if you will be part of the top 5 lol, such a grind. Nice to see the €5 freezeout to feature Moon Princess today, that should be the €10 rebuy or €5 rebuy oh well.
