Hi,

It would be interesting to see what the forum thinks about the new gaming regulations that will go live in Sweden 1/1 2019.

My thoughts when I first read about the regulations a couple of months ago was really positive and I did and still do like the idea with a more restricted market for online-casinos. But after doing some more research on the subject, the more I do starting to see how this will affect me as a "normal" player that just like to claim a bonus and chill with a beer and do some slots on a Friday after a long workweek.

And don't get me wrong, I do think the new regulation is great in many ways and I do hope that it will help the players with a gambling addiction.
But, as a swede I do have to complain and this is the pros and cons with the new regulation, in my opinion.

Pros:
-We will get rid of many shitty casinos and their advertising.
-The casinos will (hopfully) take better care and protect their customers.
-All players will be obligated to set deposit limits.

Cons:
-You will just get 1 bonus on each casino, and that is it. No more bonuses.
-Will there be no more loyalty/VIP programs or other treats ex. free-spins? (I do think the casinos will find a way around this one)
-The end for Swedish streamers?

It will be interesting to see how the casinos will adapt and compete with each other on this new market.

The word is free, go nuts ?

You forgot the the most importent thing, the 18% tax on all wins the casino pays. The casino has said that the cost of that will be paid by the customers...

in what form we se still have to wait and see. My guess is that they will either deploy some sort of deposit/redrawl fee, or just demand the rtp or something to go lower.

Thats the real downside of this ,18’% is alot... and when it comes to streamers, they are more or less allready employed by the casinos, they get comissions, and on top of that ”Free money” some call it bonus money i call it like it is...  my loyalty manager ensured me that this will not impact me as a VIP player. They allready know a way around the bonus situation. As for the streamers, i think people are passed the impression of them being the average Joe by now. Think most people are in line that they are payed PR persons. The charm is gone, aswell as the ” dream ” of the average Joe making a living of playing slots and entertaining us. Its a industry thats it.

Streamers hoppfully gets a direct employment ”now on paper” inspelad of this charad, that would be more hornets against us viewers.

If you invest in casinos on the stock market they dipped alot, Leo Vegas has fallen like .......... And the rest is slowly falling or at a standstill, that indicates the industry wont be able to fullfill the markets expectations.

When it comes to the end of swedish streamers, no way, theres way around it.. Do i enjoy streamers, i dont, i cant really enjoy streamers acting like they are average joes. Not being open with the income, and so forth... Do i hope its the end of streamers ? YES

Or a combo, lower RTP and a fee.
