Just want to share this as it might affect all Dutch players.
I deposited at 888.nl for a tournament. They send me the email. I thought nice! So I started playing. As it's a tournament I played a couple of hours in a row. Nothing strange it seems, and as there are forced limits in the Netherlands to limit gameplay to a max of 8 hours a day, all good. All casino sites just kick you out after the max hours of play in a day.
But I was well within the max. So this morning I wanted to check my ranking as I was climbing the prize ladder slow and steady. Didn't see the tournament anymore, and also my bonuses are blocked. So I can play, but without bonuses or tournament. And surely my top10 ranking in the tournament was gone.
I contacted support for clarification. Answer was: (translated to English)
AGENT (Natalia): The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) has identified certain behaviors as risk indicators for responsible gaming. We monitor every account for these indicators and may sometimes need to take further action. If our Responsible Gaming team has noticed your account and contacted you, or has taken other action on your account, we are not permitted to offer you bonuses for a period of time (you should have received an email from the team, and if not, you will receive one shortly). Therefore, your account is currently excluded from bonuses.
So apparently if you play a few hours in a row, the online casino can cancel your bonuses and tournaments because it might be unresponsible gaming according to KSA guidelines.
I didn't misbehave, didn't exceed any limits, was just enjoying some online gambling.
I was playing min.bet on all games, and lost around EUR 25,- in all those hours of play. If that behavior might be unresponsible gaming then there will be no online gambling left in the Netherlands soon.
And 90% of the online time, I play with some small bonuses and tournaments. As I like the extra entertaining factor of a tournament or some extra bonus money.
Hopefully this KSA guidelines will not be followed at all Dutch casino's as I would be blocked from bonuses by all of them, and I think 99% of all players too.
