Platin now low RTP on Pragmatic

Platin today have announced that they've lowered the RTP on all Pragmatic Play slots (and the others using PP's framework like Big Bass Bonanza etc) to 94%. Sad as some Pragmatics are actually quite fun but they can stick their 94% up their arse.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoy Pragmatic games too so it's good to be aware of the casinos that are lowering RTP. With so many casinos to choose from, I hope they will realize that lowering RTP is not the best solution. I understand casinos have costs, licenses, taxes, etc but they should at least stick to what used to be the industry average of 96%

I just don’t understand how on earth Pragmatic or any other provider could even think about lowering the RTP for what reason? I would like to know what reason they are giving. I have been gambling online for about12 years now and it’s just deposit after deposit you will NEVER win even 5% back of what you put in over time. No one wins. Even streamers say they lose and they get 500% bonus. So who is taking all the money is it the providers or the casino?

It is always the casino's choice what RTP they want to offer. In some countries, they have introduced a wagering tax. The worst is Germany, where they have introduced a 5% tax on all wagers that players do from the casino. If the casino would offer 96% they would lose 1% on every wager, and that is not taking into consideration payment cost, provider cost, office cost, staff, etc. This has made casinos get most providers to produce 86-87% slot. I am not in a place to judge if that is greedy or not but now the product is available it is very hard for a provider to stop a casino from launching it in markets outside of Germany as casinos just tell them they are German players traveling or something similar. 

This is just one of the most extreme cases we see in the industry right now and why players need to be educated to who is actually responsible and how to police the casino's so other players don't get cheated.

I believe the whole thing is one big pyramid scheme. I have lost everything on these online gambling sites. It cost me my friends and family, a degree personal possessions, debt. Literally everything. I have had 1 max win in 12 years and I play most days. I have never had that big win I am looking for all my wins have been on low bets and couldn’t even cover a weeks losses. If you seen the amount of deposits compared to wins believe me you would just not do it, you can’t win it’s impossible. Everyone is chasing that big win that is never going to happen. It will bring you to your knees. Everyone playing is losing they just don’t realise it yet…!

@GambleDo you have any idea what Videoslots RTP to UK players is because they are telling me it is the same for everyone across the board, however I have seen statements they have made in the past about lowering RTPs for UK players, I just can’t get the truth out of them. They have me down as 94% RTP its a dam lie I have had the worst game play on that site for the past 3 years. Can they personally lower my RTP because that is what it feels like they have done to me? Am Good being paranoid or is it possible?

I used to play on many different casinos but are now down to 2 because of the lower RTP. If those casinos also lower RTP I think I will naturally stop playing so it is probably good for me. I never bet on anything when I think odds are poor.

I'm up on rizk lifetime because the reel race prizes used to be generous and easy to win, some people were winning 1500eur in a week. Harder to win now as they block winning players from the races but if a race pays 250 for first with .20 min bets you can play 2500 plus spins and long-term only lose 96pc RTP etc and come out ahead. Slots etc is always a losing game

@FreeWheelerBaby Videoslots or any other casino cannot control the RTP on the games on a personal level. Providers have different RTP versions of the same game (as mentioned this is mostly done because operators demanded this because of tax laws in different countries), by UK law the RTP has to be available to the player on the Games Paytable, helpfile, or site. So you should always be able to check the RTP % when you launch the game.    

There are ways that casinos have been able to get around the RTP rules in the past, but I am not comfortable telling on an open forum how this was done so as not to give people ideas,  but I can with 99,99% say that someone like Videoslots would not risk their licenses and business doing stuff like that. 

What people don't understand is that a jump from 96% to 94% might only be a 2% decrease and not sound like a lot. But you have to look at it from your point of view which means that you go from a House Edge of 4% to 6% which means that on avg. you lose your money 50% faster than normal. So if I was you I would look for a casino that did not lower the RTP to play on.

What I don’t get is why they are allowed to state RTP to player at say 94% RTP when it is not the case it is just misleading. 
For example over 19 months I have spent £32.000 on Videoslots

withdrew £18.000 which is around 56% back 

lost £14.000 which is around 43% of total input lost 

So it is nearly 50% loses because those loses are just going to keep rising over time, because as you keep playing on any site the losses just keep getting bigger, you will never be ahead on any site unless you get lucky when you first join. So why can they state my RTP on videoslots is 94% when I have lost 43% of what I have put in?

It has taken me 30 years to realise that lol. I played slots in my teenage years they took everything, a guy who owned the fruit machines a few years later when I worked in a pub was explaining to me how they work. He said see the RTP say it was 92% well that is not how it works, the return is basically the opposite of that, he was saying something like each spin it goes down and so on, I did not really understand what he was saying but I completely stopped playing for over 15 years, until someone introduced me to online gambling, somehow I thought it worked differently HELL NO was I wrong, and watching these streamers constantly hitting max wins and constant bonuses is more than enough to have you convinced. I just wish there was more transparency and professionals talking online about it. There isn’t much on Youtube
