Yet another casino leaves the UK

i just hope LeoVegas, the securetrade casinos, kindred group and WHG stick around. 
 

Gutted about Slottyvegas.

 
Numerous things all adding up are making them leave (not exhaustive list...):

  • Increase in tax rate, tax being charged on bonus money play
  • Increasingly onerous compliance environment (think AML / SoW / SoF / Affordability Checks / Forced Parachute Bonuses etc)
  • GAMSTOP
  • Increasingly aggressive regulator
As a player many of the above are great but makes it very very tough on operators who don't have the scale to deal with the environment and will thus look for business elsewhere

 
Brexit will certainly contribute to many companies moving their operations abroad. Of course there are a multitude of reasons why but the date they leave says it all really. Brexit is going to cost the UK billions.

Not necessarily no ones knows the future, I know leaving the European market will hit the uk hard but there is plenty of markets out there, standing on your own feet making your own choices being as successful as you want moving forward, You dont need to be part of the eu for that.But that's just my opinion 😄
