So I had an account with an online bookmaker. The bookmaker themselves self excluded me as they were concerned about my gambling as a result of some of the comments I made to customer services. This bookmaker is connected to another and if you are excluded from one you autmatically are excluded from the other. I did not get excluded from this site and i continued betting on it for several months and lost quite a lot of money. I then self excluded. I only realised they were connected recently and have messaged customer service to complain that I wasnt self excluded even though they were aware of my problem. Do you think I have a case to get the money back? since i shouldnt have been allowed to spend it in the first place. I have written confirmation from them that I should have been excluded and that this shouldnt have happened.

Any advice on what to do would be appreciate as well.

So the bookmakers are LeoVegas and Royal Panda. Royal Panda is owned by LeoVegas

In the terms and conditions it states:

You accept and acknowledge that, should You choose to self-exclude from the Website www.leovegas.com as outlined above, You will also be automatically self-excluded from the related Websites, as defined in Clause 1.2 above, as well as any licensed gaming operator within the LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group, including accounts held with LeoVegas Gaming plc and Royal Panda Limited. You acknowledge that we may share your personal information between the licensed gaming operators within the LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group to comply with the legal obligations under our operating license.

Sorry I mean are you playing in the UK or another country? The licences are not the same in the UK for these companies.

I'm playing in the UK yeah. Yeah i know. I was on chat with them and they said I shouldn't have been allowed to bet. And its stated in their terms and conditions. Even if its a different licence its still a violation of their terms and conditions

Good that they have at least admitted that. Surely you will get funds back then?

I hope so. They are investigating my case. They will probably come up with some reason but I dont feel like they can. Its clearly in the terms and conditions. They are now waiting on their counterparts to confirm the date in which i was self excluded so the case can be completed. Im hoping thats good news

oh, I just checked my Royal Panda account, LeoVegas did selfexclude me from their site but I have been able to continue to play on Royal Panda, I've now made a complaint to them and requested a refund for the same reason, thanks for this :)
