is losing profit money, losing money?

Hi,

I've been wondering this for quite some time now.

I.e.:

You deposit 10 euro. You end up with 100 euro, but you are not done yet. So you go to the blackjack table, and lose everything.
Does that mean, you lose 10 euro, or did you lose 100 euro? It's common to say you only lost 10 euro. But that 100 euro was your money for a second.

What do you think?

It would be most accurate to say that you won €100, and then lost €100, and then broke even during the session. The difference between what you walked in with and what you walked out with is your profit/loss, and during the session, you have wins and losses. For myself, with online casinos, I treat all deposits as permanently gone until my withdrawal is approved and the money is at least on the way to my bank account.

I use spreadsheets - google docs to track wins & losses can boring to write down losses but it gives you an idea what's profit / loss per year.

It depends how you view it  . As its said above you lost 10 euros on that session. 

As they say , all wins are future losses anyway . Even if you had cashed out 100 , you were most likely to give it back the next day or next week . So for longterm , there is no such thing as winning ( for 99 percent of the gamblers , exceptions are huge life changing jackpots or lottery wins )
