Greedy companies and the new 94% default

A few years ago there were "good" companies that had some 97-98% slots, but most were in the 95-96% range, "average" companies with a range peaking at about 96% but with a lot of lower slots also, and "bad" companies where all slots were 94% or less with a lot of 88-92%s available.

Now it seems all slots are going straight in at 94%, with a 96% model advertised that doesn't really exist in the real world. Is taking the value of 1 full spin every 25 spins not good enough? Why the greed?

yeah it’s definitely been heading that way. a lot of providers quietly moved their default rtp down and most casinos pick the lowest setting to boost margin. it’s frustrating when the “96%” versions are basically impossible to find anymore

You should see the odds in the bookmakers here in the UK! 88% is about the best you'll find, and it can go lower... Part of the good thing about watching the stream is seeing higher RTP versions of the same games and the amount they pay is much better (even if they have suffered from what you mentioned!).

The industry has shifted toward standard 94% RTP slots, with advertised 96% often just marketing. One full-value spin every 25 spins would be fair, but casinos prioritize predictable profits. High-RTP slots are rare now, making transparency frustrating.

Have you found any good ones recently?

In the Netherlands it used to be Toto.nl who had the highest RTP's in the market. Silently they changed almost all from 96 to 94.
Luckily 711.nl jumped in and they actually have the better RTP's now, with a lot of 96'ers and some even 97%.

So for the Dutchies it's worth to check some different casino's as RTP's vary largely across the board.
