Casinos capitalizing on COVID-19

I'm very glad i quit gambling, but I'm still very frustrated by this industry and the people who end up destroying their lives due to it. 
 

Even though most of my accounts are closed, I still have some old accounts here and there that I haven't deleted yet because I've basically forgotten about them. (Yes I've probably been on most of the casinos that existed during the peak of my gambling career). 

Hopefully a few fellow Norwegians in here already noticed, but for the rest of you, over the last days there's been a few articles in Norwegian media about more and more reports about gambling addiction over the last few months-likely due to people being in isolation and by themself. 

...And what happened today? Well I got my first casino - related phonecall in a long time, from a Norwegian woman working for the well known casino getlucky. 

So even though there are reports about more and more people struggling with addiction, the casinos choose to push even harder to promote their bonuses, I think it's absolutely disgusting to see how casinos are doing whatever they can to capitalize on the current situation that we are in. 

Please think twice before doing another deposit, the people working for the casinos all seem so nice and friendly, but in the end they dont give a single fuck about nothing else than your money

This is actually a very serious and discarded issue. Gambling addictions have been on the extreme rise in the last few years yet any goverment action or legislation is lacking. Just look at what loot boxes has done with the gaming industry and the lack of legislaton on it.

We NEED better decentralised tooling to protect people. We need legislation that allows/enforces decentralization. You have no idea what impact i personally can make for people if legislation would force providers to decentralise. How about 1 app that can set your responsible limits for all legit casino's in the world?

The main reason that i dislike casino streamers is that they are not taking the above serious. Either there not aware, smart enough of just completly don't give a fuck but they have the audience (although small and starting) to start make a difference in these area's. They could lobby the politicians as it won't come from the casino's or providers themselfs. A simple begambleaware link does not suffice.
