Bonus Buys Refund? (UKGC Casino)

Hi there,

I’m relatively new to gambling and recently signed up to a casino licensed by the UKGC. I was playing on a pragmatic game and noticed that they had an option to buy the bonus - I’ve been on a good run lately so thought I’d try my luck but never hit big.

I purchased quite a few bonuses and wasted a lot of money but unbeknown to me at the time bonus buys are supposed to be banned in the UK - can someone confirm this?

If they are meant to be banned, the option shouldn’t be there. If it wasn’t there I wouldn’t have been enticed to use it. Do you guys think I’d be entitled to a refund for money spent on bonus buys or am I pushing my luck?

The option should not be available to buy a bonus if what you say is true , i play with 2 casino's and the bonus buy option is still visible on some slots but you cannot click it to buy.

Had you won playing the bonus buy then you would not be complaining etc etc , in reality i would question the Casino involved and see what kind of response you get before deciding to pursue it , or leave it be.

It’s conquestador which is licensed by the UKGC - states it on their website and UKGC site.

I’d still be questioning it even if I won because I only found out after buying them that the bonuses buys are banned.

if you had won massive, would you come here to ask if you could return the money to casino, because it is illegal to buy bonuses?  I don't think so

It should be disabled but sometimes, especially with newer games, mistakes can happen.

One if the main casinos, no need to say which, had a new game with bonus buys enabled In the U.K. market. Pointed it out to them and they fixed it right away.

Occasionally these things slip through the cracks.

Apparently:

 The feature that you have activated is in-game FREE SPINS feature, appearing for you as an option to activate it while you have the needed amount in your cash balance. The ban that you are referring to is the ban for a different type of bonus-buy in offers, which we do not in our casino.

Go figure.
