@Casinomon plenty people have a problem with u lot, a tilting player? Like the streamers? Amazed the doughnut streamers are comparing amazon afilliation to casino affiliation!

@Slotplayershowing ur true colours with ur bad language!
Tell me this TommyBHOY - are you boycotting the Celtic with their numerous ties to betting (dafabet etc)?

Their current sponsors include ....

Dafabet

Mr Green

Ladbrokes

Dear oh dear

Bit of a contradiction having BHOY in your name here when they HEAVILY promote gambling, and reach far more people than any casino streamer will do. What a hypocrite u are.

Bet you've never been on a Celtic forum insisting that Celtic are banned because of their casino and gambling promotion.

How many kids are running around with Dafabat imprinted across their chest eh mate.  Lets start a 'crusade' on the hoopy board rofl.

I certainly don't mind this opinion at all. The streamers are being allowed to do this so the issue really isn't with them, they have just been taken over by greed and once they started to see the money to be made its easy to be very defensive and to shut their eyes and pretend that addicts are not watching.

I take issue with number 2 though. For me personally I was gamble free for 3 and a half years and only deposited again after viewing these videos. I won't be alone. I do accept responsibility for my own actions but this type of content to an addict is extremely destructive.

I wish you well to stop gambling (if that's what you're hoping to achieve)
I put a recent post up and kind of admitted about my failings and I am with you.... I did and still do whack a 20 (sometimes a lot more) on after watching streams and videos after over 5 years not gambling at all. I am in control of gambling but at same time these videos are destructive as I now have that urge to gamble again. I keep within my means and I am torn cause these guys do need a platform but I guarantee my addiction is no where near as bad as others but people do also need to man up and take responsibility; hope their is a middle ground as after a few months there are certain streamers who are taking the piss.

@TechnoJoe sorry you are so wrong, anyone who openly talks about gambling addiction should be applauded and not be called weak and worthless etc. I would say the opposite and applauded anyone who has a problem and is talking about it and dealing with it. Please dont tell me you stream with this attitude towards problem gamblers ?

If so what casinos do you represent ?

@TechnoJoeIt was banned over 10 years ago children football replica shirts are not allowed to have gambling advertising/content on them.

Also if TV gambling advertising isnt allowed until after 9pm why do we have streamers putting up live gambling content during the day ? just not acceptable.

[SIZE=11pt]More recently, as regulatory pressure builds from the Gambling Commission, Advertising Standards Authority and Information Commissioners Office, a new trade body for affiliates is to be established: the International Gaming Affiliate Association (IGAA).

A group of leading affiliates and gaming legal experts are setting up the trade body to help the affiliate sector tackle the increasing regulatory scrutiny it is facing.

The new body, to be named the International Gaming Affiliate Association (iGAA), aims to establish a code of practice to ensure affiliates are promoting gambling in a responsible way and acting in compliance with all local laws.

Well that card and the global self exclusion database coming up will certainly help those that can't control their gambling and the sooner either or both are implemented the better as far as I am concerned.

I am all for protecting the problem gambler but I don't believe those that can control their gambling should suffer because of it.
Not a single person on this forum is in control of their gambling. And if you are trying to tell yourself that, you are lying or being ignorant. Even the majority of streamers have accepted and confirmed that they are gambling addicts.

UKGC is hopeless. They have no power nor the influence to control gambling in the UK. All they can do is refuse someone a license, which they rarely do.

I find it very worrying that streamers are addicts and are allowed to promote casinos. Most are self confessed addicts but now say they are okay. Of course they are okay when the viewers are paying for them to gamble. In no other industry would this happen. Alcoholics would not be allowed to promote alcohol, 'reformed' or not.

I've had success with UKGC in the past. Although this was in relation to illegal giveaways and raffles. Those who push giveaways which require you to sign up and deposit should be reported to them as they are doing this without a license. They are not the ones to contact about streamers in general though

Laughable comment at best.

All on this forum like playing slots but then to say not a single person is in control of their gambling is just an idiotic statement.

And if you dare to say different you are either ignorant of it, in denial or lying. Yeah right.

Absolutely clueless.

Because you were silly enough to blow your money, doesn't mean others are as silly as you are.

He also cannot say that about someone for which he has no financial evidence to support. To me, uncontrollable gambling is losing what you can't afford to lose, so unless Ryan has the streamers financial information, he has no evidence to support that claim.

@TechnoJoe I dont even support celtic, never watch Scottish football so you have made yourself look like a GRADE A plonker

@SlotplayerI dont think everyone has a gambling problem but I think there are alot of people on this forum and viewing streams that do.

I personally dont think streamers will be banned but maybe regulated.  Things like not streaming before 9pm etc etc.  Streaming at 9am in the morning is a effin joke.  All the casino grounds streamers have it so they are streaming nearly the full day.

Exactly the same goes with whether the streamers money is real or not, unless u have a streamers bank statements u have not got a shred  of evidence that the money is real.  Yet anyone who dares question anyone is abused rotten on this forum.

I'm confused. You don't need streamers financial information if they have said they have an addiction? Many of them have admitted it already.

There is a difference between people admitting and saying so and just assuming that everybody on this forum is a gambling addict or everybody that streams or watches a stream is one.

One thing you don't do is just tar everybody with the same brush!

I don't dispute there are people watching with no gambling problems past or present. However I believe they are actually the minority, something which disagree on. People don't just stumble upon this content.

If a streamer is not funding his addiction then surely they are just treating it as a business which is also not clear to everyone watching. A simple red box saying 'AD' which is constantly present in the videos would solve this. I actually believe people should be doing this anyway depending on which you read the ASA ruling under 'vlogs'

I believe that as long as it is clear from the content that a casino is being advertised, there is no need for it to be spelled out to the viewer that it is an advertisement.

From the page that you refer to:

Marketers (and vloggers/bloggers) therefore need to ensure the presentation of advertorial content makes it clear that it is an ad and if the style doesn’t make the nature of the content clear, then it may need to be labelled with an identifier such as “Ad” or similar in order to make this clear.

From this post alone in this topic it is pretty clear that most that object to streamers, the intend of the streamer is clear - namely the advertising of a particular casino. So if you can identify it as that, then surely the general public can too?

I dispute this as to someone who is not clued up about affiliates or the purpose of the stream it's not obvious. They may take it as just someone who is having a gamble and recording it so people can watch.

I fail to see how it's a bad thing to do it anyway. I believe it should be implemented and those against it are obviously trying to protect their income and deceive the viewers.

If you asked the general viewing public who watch such streams what the purpose of the streams are I can guarantee you that the majority would not say to advertise a casino.

I've had correspondence with the ASA (sent in a complaint) about this and await their response. One thing I do not understand is that some streamers/content creators have a huge 18 plus sign before the video starts with some responsible gambling disclaimer at the start of each video but some do not follow this. It's clear that some people are not sure what they need to do so submitting complaints to such bodies is helpful to determine what actually needs to be done anyway.

I do agree the terminology used in the statement you posted is confusing though.
