Let's say you have won a whopping life-changing amount of money on a casino! (a situation I am sitting with) - How do you plan your life around it?

From many articles I read about the psychology of people that have won megaball lotteries and extreme sweepstakes in horseracing, non of them are _truly_ happier for their cause. They simply gamble or play again.

Who here has stories to share? A super super crazy win (or streak of wins leading to a super crazy amount of income, like in my case). I am entirely unsure what I plan to do with my victory.

Im taking my winnings to live out the dream i had for a long time .

Starting my own buisness finally i can say bye bye to my employer.

Dont have enough to live out the rest of my life of of it but i think you should reward yourself.

do something with it that youve always wanted to do dont put it back in.

I have discipline to leave my withdrawals while it processes :P  I have achieved my dreams - bought myself a monster of a computer. I love my employer too - I write slot games for a living. However, not telling for whom. (not sure if I may announce whom I work for... if it would breach my non-disclosure policies or not)

The biggest thing for me is that I have no plans for this hit. I have no aspirations for something bigger and better right now. Happy about my wins... but unsure :P

Here is my 2 biggest hits in the past 24 hours.

Make your money work for you!

Don't consider them as available for spending - Only investing.

Usually, index funds give decent return vs risk so would look into to find something low-medium risk that gives you 5-6%.

Just let it grow and use some of the funds whenever you want to invest in real estate or something similar.
