I personally found Shadow of Dominion a bit boring. The wins were quite low for me, and the base game didn’t really keep me interested.

The bonus features were more interesting, though. They felt a little different from the usual slot bonuses, and even though the bonus doesn’t last very long, it still managed to give some decent wins. I liked the idea behind the bonus, but I think it could have been a bit more rewarding.

Overall, I think Shadow of Dominion is an okay slot, but it didn’t really stand out to me. The low wins and somewhat boring base game made it hard for me to stay interested. It’s also not a slot I would personally play with real money, as I don’t feel the gameplay and wins are exciting enough for me.

The game looks good and was exciting in the beginning.

After a while, I lost interest. There are too many teases, and even when you get the bonus, you mostly get dead spins. You become numb to the teases and just want to skip them. The excitement disappears, which is sad because the game has potential.

The feature is fine, but it felt like you need a random multiplier which makes it pointless. If I need to trigger something random in a random feature its just boring. Maybe if you fill the screen it give u something or remove the multiblocks and give higher payouts.

The bonus was fine, and the game mechanic is decent. The wins are low, but it doesn’t matter too much because you can get multipliers easily. For me, though, it feels like a game where you either get a super bonus or lose.

I really like that you can trigger the Super Bonus in the base game. That is a massive W.

If I could suggest some improvements:

Teases need to be more rare. After a while, you just want to skip them because there are too many.

The bonus should be 8 spins. 6 spins is too short. You can easily get 1-2 dead spins and 1-2 feature spins, and then the bonus is already over. Maybe you can get a retrigger but I didn't see how.

Feature spin should not cost a free spin in the bonus. That feels like a scam ngl.

The feature spin should be less dependent on hitting random multipliers.

Shadow of Dominion was pretty damn exiting. Slotmill once again do it great.

The feature of domination spins in bonus was something new and i have never seen before.
Really like the mechanic it this slot, But with it being volite you either win max or zero.
This game will easy be on my top 5 best release this year.

After trying Shadow of Dominion, I think this is a pretty interesting slot with several things that make it stand out from a typical slot game. The dark fantasy theme fits the name and concept really well, and the overall design feels detailed and consistent. There are also several features, such as Giant Symbols, Multipliers, Free Spins, and Dominion Respins, which give players something to look forward to during the game.

Pros
One of the biggest strengths of Shadow of Dominion is definitely the theme and visual design. The dark fantasy atmosphere is strong, and the characters, symbols, and overall presentation fit the theme nicely. It gives the game its own personality instead of feeling like just another slot with a different name.
I also like the Giant Symbols feature. When a large symbol appears and creates a winning combination, it makes the spin feel much more exciting. The Multiplier feature is another good addition because it gives the game more potential for bigger wins and makes you curious about how high the multiplier can go.
The Free Spins and Dominion Respins are probably the features I enjoyed the most. Once these features appear, the gameplay becomes much more exciting compared to the normal base game. In particular, I think Dominion Respins have a lot of potential and could become one of the main things players remember about Shadow of Dominion.

Cons
The biggest downside for me is the high volatility. There are quite a few moments where you can do many spins without getting much in return. When you don't hit a good combination or trigger one of the features, the base game can feel a little slow and empty.
Of course, this will depend on the type of player. People who enjoy high volatility slots and chasing bigger wins may actually like this style. However, players who prefer smaller but more frequent wins might find Shadow of Dominion a little difficult to enjoy for longer sessions.
I also feel that some of the mechanics are still quite familiar compared to other modern slot games. Giant Symbols, Multipliers, Free Spins, and Respins are all good features, but I think the game could benefit from one really unique mechanic that would make Shadow of Dominion instantly recognizable.

Suggestions
If I could give Slotmill some feedback, I would suggest making the base game a little more active. I don't mean making it easier to win, but perhaps adding more small events or mechanics that keep the player interested even when they aren't hitting the main bonus features.
I would also like to see Dominion Respins developed even further. In my opinion, this feature has a lot of potential. Maybe the multiplier could increase during the respins, Giant Symbols could have additional effects, or certain symbols could give players extra respins. It would make the feature feel more rewarding and give players another reason to get excited when it appears.
Another thing I would recommend is adding one unique mechanic that really belongs to Shadow of Dominion. The dark fantasy theme is already strong, so there is a lot of room to create something interesting around it. The existing features could also interact with each other more, which would make the gameplay feel more connected and less focused on simply waiting for Free Spins or Respins.
Finally, I think finding a better balance between high volatility and win frequency could improve the overall experience. Big wins should still feel difficult and rewarding, but having more small moments of excitement during the base game could make the game feel less slow without taking away its high volatility character.
Rating: 8/10
Overall, I enjoyed playing Shadow of Dominion. The visuals are good, the dark fantasy theme fits perfectly, the 6x6 gameplay is interesting, and features like Giant Symbols, Multipliers, Free Spins, and Dominion Respins give the game plenty of exciting moments.
The main issues for me are the high volatility and the occasional slow feeling in the base game. I think the game already has a good foundation, but there is still room for improvement, especially by making Dominion Respins more interesting and adding a mechanic that gives Shadow of Dominion its own identity.
My rating is 8/10. I would recommend giving it a try, especially if you enjoy high-volatility slots and the possibility of bigger wins. With a slightly more engaging base game and some additional depth to its bonus features, I think Shadow of Dominion could become an even stronger game.

Im getting told log in (even tho im already logged into cg)when trying to enter the tournament like i do on every other tournament, but it says user not found? Do you need to have a slotmill account or something? Cause i entered the one i use here on cg and it doesnt work

Same issue , error signgin up , either username or email in use when you change it an error appears . Doubt many people can play

Try logging in again or signing up, we have tested and it should work.
Still doesnt work,it doesnt seem like that login is related to our CG account, cause my password cant even be used on that link to the tournament since its using special letters. So it seems like you need to have an slotmill account or something in order to be able to log in and play. I shouldnt have to use the signup button either if this is actually related to cg cause then it would work to log in as well with my cg details :) If i try to reset password, itjust says user doesnt excist etc, which is not true as i do have this cg account lol

In my opinion, the game is visually appealing, though the scatter feature shouldn't be too abundant, as that would diminish the challenge. The multiplier feature, however, is excellent because it keeps increasing. When purchasing the scatter feature, it would be better to have only two options. Overall, the game is engaging and incorporates eerie elements, making it a unique and fitting choice compared to other games.

When I first played shadow of dominion with real money before this tournament I was thinking that this was excellent game. But it was very brief experience. So after this tournament I have a bit more to say. First of all the theme/visuals/sound are on point as always with slotmill and clearly slotmill has chosen a theme which they want to carry on. And the darker themes sits well with higher volatily games in my opinion.

Then what comes to gameplay. The tumbeling symbols can be very powerful mechanic if executed right. I think it is one of the best mechanics, but here i am sad to say the execution was not the greatest. The paytable had to be abslolutely butchered because of the sticky multiplier. And even then with multis like 50 or 70 the symbols don’t really pay much if you don’t land the random dominion feature and get nearly full screen. Also I think that feature should be happening atleast once in every bonus. It does not have to be the last spins necessarily.

I think that the dominion feature overall is good thing. That is actually the best thing about this game, and also pretty much only new thing created. But again I think you should have even out the paytable a little and maybe a bit harder to land symbols (just to maintain the volatility), because you still need heck of a high multi or just clean full screen for it to pay anything big.

What comes to basegame and the bonus teases, It gives you a lot of very small win and tubles and therefore I say ditch this math or form or what ever it is, that there are endless teasers with 2 scatters, even if you are connecting and tumbeling 10 times it still never drops the third scatter. I feel like the teases should make you sit at the edge of your seat and be excited. Not just wanting to click the tease away because you get so many of them and rarely landing bonus from tumble.

You should go back what you guys did with emberfall and ragnarok games. As a player I really enjoy when you randomly get 2 or even all 3 scatters from a single or couple tumbles. For me it gives joy to play because you are not done and out even if you dont land 3 scatters straight away.

Shadow of Dominion really has a cool look; it feels like a dystopian-themed game instead of being full of colors and "happiness". It almost feels like entering an old cathedral that has passed its prime. The game layout is a 6x6 grid, just like Emberfall, but it has completely changed the theme of the symbols and the overall feel of the game. My first impression is that Shadow of Dominion has its own unique theme instead of just throwing in the classic Norse characters. However, it still feels a bit connected to Norse mythology, with a slight vibe of a dwarven kingdom from Lord of the Rings, but with different-looking characters on the premium symbols.

One thing I'm torn on is the Dominion Respins. The first time I got this feature, it felt like something "big" was about to happen. However, disappointment quickly followed after a couple of respin features when I noticed that you really need to have a mega multiplier and almost fill up the reels completely to make it pay big bucks.

The classic "Xtra-Bet" and "Fast Track" features from Slotmill are always fun. Slotmill is one of the few providers, along with Hacksaw, where the extra bet actually feels like it makes a big difference.

Pros:

A really cool-looking slot with a fresh theme that doesn't just mimic a typical genre.

Dominion Respins are a great feature that makes the game feel quite different from its relatives.

The multiplier goes absolutely mental in the Super Bonus (most of the time).

Cons:

Dominion Respins can give a bit of a "false impression" that something "super" is about to happen.

It is very close to Emberfall, and in my personal opinion, it's not the best slot mechanic Slotmill has.

Overall:

Sound: 9/10. Reason – Great sound effects that perfectly match the falling symbols.

Graphics: 9.5/10. Reason – I really like the old, dystopian cathedral vibe of the game. As usual, Slotmill has some absolute heavy hitters on their graphic design team.

Overall Grade: 9.25/10. Reason – The game gets a solid 9.25. Just like before, Slotmill has shown that they have incredibly talented graphic designers who can "rebrand" a slot series and make it feel like an entirely new game (mechanics aside). The mechanics are the same as the previously mentioned Emberfallβ€”which isn't a bad game, but I prefer a lot of other Slotmill games over this specific setup. Still, the sound and graphics are top-notch. The theme and the addition of the Dominion Respins make the game a lot more exciting than Emberfall, but the core mechanics make it hard for me to give it a 10/10, even though 9.25 is the highest score I've given.

First of all, thanks for hosting such an awesome tournament!

To start off my review. I really like the sounds of this game. The music made me feel interested and excited at the same time, while the sound effects weren't overpowering. Together, they create a great atmosphere. I also liked the Giant Symbols feature, especially because it can come with a multiplier to increase your winnings.

There is also a chance to trigger the Dominion Respins feature randomly on any spin. For me, the best part of the game was definitely the Free Spins and Dominion Respins. These features make the gameplay much more exciting than the regular base game. I especially liked Dominion Respins because they have the potential to create some really exciting moments and could easily become the feature players remember the most.

That being said, I also feel like most of the features are familiar. Giant Symbols, Multipliers, Free Spins, and Dominion Respins are all enjoyable, but they're mechanics we've seen in other games before. however I think the upgrade drop is a nice touch to receive.

I also have to agree with another player who mentioned that the 6 Free Spins can feel a little short. I think starting with 7 or even 8 Free Spins would make the bonus feel more rewarding without making it overpowered.

Finally, I think the balance between high volatility and smaller wins could be improved. Keeping the big wins rare is perfectly fine, but adding a few more exciting moments during the base game would make the overall experience more enjoyable.

Rating: 8/10

Overall, I've had a really enjoyable time playing Shadow of Dominion. The graphics are impressive, the dark fantasy theme is well executed, and features like Giant Symbols, Multipliers, Free Spins, and Dominion Respins make the game much more exciting whenever they trigger.

The biggest drawback for me is the slow pace of the base game, mainly because of the high volatility. That being said, I think the game has a solid foundation and could become even better with a few improvements, especially by expanding Dominion Respins and making the base game a little more engaging.

I'd give it 8/10. If you enjoy high-volatility slots with the chance of landing bigger wins, it's definitely worth giving this game a try.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a lovely day!

I will give an honest review without writing any AI Slop, so please forgive me for any grammar issues. In such Competitions writing the Review with ChatGPT et al. should be forbidden because it doesnt feel natural or honest Feedback at all.

First at all, thank you for the Giveaway and for the Tournament! During the Tournament I could saw the Potential of the Slot, but it didnt pay me at all. I was very behind in the Leaderboard after a few Spins.

I never played Slotmills before - I saw them at LGIAS but I never played them myself. I got a Bias towards Pragmatic and Relax Slots.

So first I had to figure out what the Game Mechanics is and how it can pay. That was awesome! I really liked the Theme of it. Imagine my Face when it hit the "Dominion Respins" Feature and I didnt knew what was going on. Looking out for the "Upgrade Symbol" was a thrill. Its a great mechanic in Slots when you feel like it can get up so fast. When you are in a classic Book Game and you get "10" as a Symbol your wins are super limited. With the Upgrades and the Multiplicators you are up to generational Wealth.

I really did like the Animations and the Multiplier going up. That is a fun mechanics. What I didnt like at all were buying the Dominion Freespins for 50x. I did it a lot because I like the Action but it rarely paid. Those buys feel way too volatile.

Otherwise, especially with playing with the Bonus bet to get an easier Bonus, I continued doing to do so with my own Money even outside the Tournament. Somehow it really kicks my nerves with the Animations and the "sweat" when you got 2 Bonus Scatters and you are waiting for the 3rd one are near perfect. In other Slots the Sweat is too slow or too fast.

What I really did like in the Tournament Option: You were not limited to normal Spins. You were also able to play the Game "for real" and buy Bonusses or use the Fast Track Bet. That was way more fun than just playing down the 1.000 Spins.

As someone who never played a Slotmill Slot before I really enjoyed it and I will probably take a look into other Games of that Provider. Once you figured it out how it works its a really fun mechanics. But as stated before, I think the Math at the Dominion Respin Buys doesnt math out. Even if you got the Top Symbol you can barely land a profit if you dont fullscreen it. The Audio and Graphic is awesome and totally hooked me up! Thats like the core of a Slot. Its FUN to play and look whats happening.

Is it the most original slot I've played this year?
No.
Does it completely reinvent what Slotmill is doing?
Definitely not.
But does it take a bunch of Slotmill's familiar mechanics and put them together in a way that works?
Yeah, I think it does.
For me, the multiplier is the star of the show. When you get a few consecutive tumbles and see that multiplier climbing, the game suddenly becomes much more interesting.
I also like that the Dominion Respins aren't locked away exclusively in the bonus. Getting one in the base game gives you that little "maybe this is the spin" moment that keeps things interesting.
Would I recommend it to someone who hates high volatility?
Absolutely not.
Would I recommend it to someone who enjoys chasing big multipliers, bonus features and the occasional ridiculous tumble?
Yeah, give it a go.
It's not going to replace every other Slotmill game in my favourites list, but after playing it I can definitely see myself coming back to it when I'm in the mood for something a bit more aggressive.
And that's probably the best compliment I can give it.
7.5/10 from me

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to actually try and test out a slot. This was the first time I tried a slot from slotmill aside from Ragnarok which is one of my favourite slots of all time. The visuals and ui are great. It's good to see slotmill giving us more options with the bonuses especially the feature spins. I think feature spins are a great integration to the game especially because it is usually the most exciting part of a bonus and for this slot, it is the Dominion Re-spins. Love the concept, we get a random respin anytime when we are in the bonus. It can start off with any symbol and with progressive multis and there is always a chance to upgrade to the next symbol. 1000 spins is usually not enough to get the full experience of a slot but it can definitely give you a clear idea of the slot. Personally, I enjoyed the slot. I bought the super bonus worth 400 spins and had a lot of fun with it.I would rate the slot a solid 7.5/10. It definitely would have been even more exciting if there were more hidden features during the dominion respins besides the upgrade. For example, if we got a multi Γ—2 it would multiply the base multi or a type of collector which could potentially make room for more clusters by either collecting all the symbols or an expanding symbol that would expand more reels.
