After spending some time playing Wildhalla, I can honestly say that it left a pretty good impression on me. Slotmill did a great job with the Viking and Norse mythology theme, and the overall presentation feels polished and immersive. From the moment I launched the game, the graphics immediately stood out. The symbols are well designed, the animations are smooth, and the soundtrack creates a strong atmosphere that fits perfectly with the theme.

One of the things I enjoyed the most about Wildhalla is its bonus features. Once the game starts building momentum and the special features kick in, the experience becomes much more exciting. The Fast Track option is also a nice addition, allowing players to jump directly into the action instead of waiting too long for the main features to appear. It adds flexibility and makes the game more enjoyable for players who prefer faster gameplay.

Another positive aspect is the potential. Wildhalla feels like a high volatility slot, meaning there are moments where the game can be quiet, but when things finally connect, the rewards can be very satisfying. Those moments create excitement and make every feature round feel meaningful. The anticipation before each spin and the possibility of triggering something big keep the game entertaining.

However, the game is not without flaws. The base game can sometimes feel a bit slow, especially during long stretches without significant wins. There were sessions where I felt that the gameplay became repetitive before reaching the bonus round. Players who prefer constant action and frequent smaller wins might find Wildhalla slightly frustrating at times. Patience is definitely required, and luck plays a major role.

I also think there is room for improvement. Adding more random events or mini features during the base game would make the experience feel more dynamic. More dramatic sound effects and additional animations during big wins would enhance the excitement and make those moments feel even more rewarding. Considering the Viking theme, there is definitely potential to make the action feel even more epic.

From a visual standpoint, I really have very few complaints. Everything looks clean and professional, and the user interface is easy to understand. Slotmill managed to create a game that looks modern while maintaining a strong identity. The theme doesn’t feel generic, and that’s something I appreciate because many games with similar settings often look too familiar.

Ratings:

⭐ Graphics & Visuals: 9/10
Beautiful design, great animations, and an immersive Viking atmosphere.

⭐ Sound & Music: 8.5/10
The soundtrack fits the theme well, although a bit more variety would make it even better.

⭐ Bonus Features: 9/10
The features are definitely the highlight of the game and keep things exciting.

⭐ Base Game Experience: 7.5/10
Can feel slow at times, especially during dry sessions.

⭐ Entertainment Value: 8.5/10
Very enjoyable when the game starts building momentum and features are activated.

⭐ Overall Rating: 8.6/10
Overall, I think Wildhalla is a solid slot with impressive visuals, a strong theme, and exciting bonus features. While the base game can occasionally feel slow and requires some patience, the potential and overall presentation make it worth playing. With a few more surprises in the base game and enhanced effects during big moments, Wildhalla could easily become one of Slotmill’s best releases. I would definitely recommend it to players who enjoy high volatility slots and Viking-themed adventures.

After been playing Wilhalla I'm honestly not to impressed, I think that the credit when you win is way to low, an are not a big fan when you have to pay extra for having bigger chanches of winning. An I find it hard to see how you should be able to win up to x10000 your bet.

When that is said I like that you can get the wild feature outside of the bonus an that it both in the feature and the bonus have the opportunity to keep going an that it is not just for a number of spins.

Overall I didn't really win anything an perhaps I was just unluckyπŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ but for that reason I wouldn't play it for real money if I saw it.

I joined the Wildhalla freeplay tournament and ended up enjoying the game more than I expected. The Viking theme is well done, with great-ooking symbols, smooth animations, and a soundtrack that fits the atmosphere perfectly.
What stood out the most for me was how easy the game is to get into. The Fast Track option is a nice addition because it lets you jump straight into the action without waiting too long. I had a few decent runs during the tournament, and while there were some dry spells, the gameplay never felt boring.
The bonus features are exciting when they land, and the overall presentation makes the game feel polished. I also liked that the graphics are detailed without being too cluttered, so everything is easy to follow.
Overall, Wildhalla is a fun slot with a strong theme and entertaining features. I had a good time playing it and will definitely give it another try in the future. Thanks to CasinoGrounds and Slotmill for organizing this tournament and giving players a chance to compete for some great prizes.

After playing Wildhalla in the tournament, I can honestly say this is one of the most enjoyable slots I have played in a long time.

The first thing that stood out to me was the music. In my opinion, it is one of the best soundtracks Slotmill has created so far. It instantly reminded me of the Vikings TV series and really helped create an epic atmosphere. Combined with the visuals and animations, the Viking theme feels very immersive and well executed.

What really made this game special for me, however, was the potential. For the very first time in my slot-playing experience, I managed to hit a max win! The feeling was absolutely incredible and unlike anything I had experienced before. I could already see something huge coming when three wilds lined up with a multiplier above 10x. Watching the win unfold was simply amazing and made for a memorable moment.

I also really enjoy how the bonus feature works. The possibility of building up the wilds and multipliers creates a lot of excitement, and every spin can feel important. The game definitely has a high-volatility nature. Many of the bonus rounds paid very little for me, which sometimes felt a bit harsh, but when the game finally connects, it really connects. Those big moments are incredibly fun and make the wait worthwhile.

The only small criticism I have is regarding the visual indicator for the horn feature that resets all wilds. As someone who is slightly color-blind, I found it difficult to distinguish from the other horn symbol at first glance. A bit more visual contrast could make it easier to recognize.

Overall, even if I ignore the fact that I hit a max win, I would still rate Wildhalla very highly. The fantastic soundtrack, strong Viking theme, exciting bonus mechanics, and huge win potential make it a game that I will definitely continue playing. Hopefully I can experience that max win feeling again one day with real money!

Final Rating: 10/10

I have played Wildhalla several times now, switching between manual spins, the Xtra-Bet option, and several Fast Track buys. While the Viking theme is nothing new, I wanted to see if the game actually delivers on its mechanics. Here is my breakdown based on my actual time playing the game.

First Impressions
The game looks incredibly clean and loads instantly. The gameplay really comes alive the moment the walking wilds land. Watching them shift left step-by-step keeps you on edge. During one session, I lined up a few multiplier wilds together, and the payout exploded instantly. It proved to me that the 10,000x max win is actually achievable, not just a marketing gimmick on the paytable.

β€’The Pros

- The Walking Wild Mechanic: The free respin loop from the moving wilds is top-tier. It keeps the tension high and makes the bonus rounds genuinely exciting because you feel you have a shot on every spin.

- Flawless Performance: I tested this on an older mobile phone with patchy Wi-Fi, and it ran perfectly with zero lag. Slotmill keeping the file size under 10MB is a massive win for mobile players.

- Smart Xtra-Bet Feature: It gives you great control over your risk. Being able to triple your bonus chances for a set premium is a fair strategy instead of just spinning blindly.

β€’The Cons

- Brutal Base Game Dry Spells: Regular symbol payouts are tiny. If you go a few minutes without landing a wild, the game turns into an absolute desert and bleeds your balance dry.

- Super Bonus Feels Like a Trap: Buying the highest Fast Track option felt completely unrewarding. Usually, a premium buy gives you a better mathematical edge (RTP), but here it feels just as tight as the regular bonusβ€”poor value for money.

- Bonus Rounds Cut Short Too Easily: Extending your playtime in the bonus feature depends entirely on landing extra steps on the very last reel. If Reel 5 goes cold right away, the whole feature dies instantly, which feels incredibly punishing.

β€’My Feedback to Make It Better

- Add a Base Game Meter: Introduce a progression bar that fills up on consecutive dead spins. Once full, it triggers a guaranteed random wild. This keeps casual players hooked because their losses build toward something.

- Buff the Super Bonus Math: Rebalance the highest Fast Track tier. Giving it a slight RTP or hit-rate buff gives high-rollers a fair incentive for taking such a massive financial risk.

- Spread Out the Extra Steps: Don't put all the pressure on Reel 5 during the bonus round. Let the extra-step symbols drop anywhere but weight them differently (like +1 step on reels 1-3, and +2 steps on reels 4-5) to make the game feel more dynamic.

β€’Verdict
Wildhalla is a textbook high-risk, high-reward slot. It is technically brilliant and highly entertaining, but you need strict bankroll management to survive the volatility.

- Gameplay Flow: 8.5/10

- Graphics & Visual: 9.0/10

- Music & Soundtrack: 8.5/10

- Payouts/Volatility: 7.5/10

- Performance: 9.8/10

Wildhalla is an exciting Viking-themed slot with stunning graphics, immersive sound effects, and smooth gameplay. The Norse mythology atmosphere is well designed and keeps the experience engaging from the first spin.

What I enjoyed most is the Fast Track feature, which adds extra excitement and gives players a chance to reach the bonus action more quickly. The animations are impressive, especially during winning combinations, and the game runs flawlessly on mobile devices.

The volatility feels balanced, offering a good mix of smaller wins and the potential for bigger rewards. Overall, Wildhalla is a fun and entertaining slot that combines great visuals, strong mechanics, and an engaging theme.

Rating: 9/10 – Highly recommended for fans of Viking and adventure-themed slots.

Wildhalla by Slotmill:

Highly volatile slot with a maxwin potential of 10 000x
RTP: 96,05% ( if you play X-Trabet or buy features/bonuses, RTP jumps up to 96,18%-96,31%)

Wildhalla is a viking themed slot, with nice music and quality graphics.
Core mechanic of the slot is Walking wilds feature, that adds 1x multiplier on it every time it is part of a successful connection.
after each re-spin the wilds walk towards first reel, 1 reel per spin, after they walk through the first reel they will be gone forever,
unless you land a silver horn on the same line as the walking wild or a golden horn on any line on the last reel.

What i did notice pretty quick, is that the golden horn is much more common sight during the re-spins in basegame, than in the bonus.

Bonus symbols can land only on the 3 middle reels and horns can land only on the last reel.
In the bonus you will get a walking wild on all 4 lines at the last reel.
Superbonus is basically the same but not only will the multiplier go up by 1 after each successful connection, but also after each step the wild takes.

Same as other Slotmill slots, this game has their The tried and true "Fast Track", "Burst Mode" and "Big win hunt"
Surprisingly i do like base game here, i feel like the re-spins can pay well on base game too, not only in the bonus

On a personal note, i do think the slot is a bit one dimensional, but better to be that than to have too much going on that you can't
figure out what's going on in the game and what do you need, here is pretty simple, you want walking wilds and the horns to stop them
walking away too fast.

To improve this slot i would make each wild do something different, since you have 4 different wilds.
For example 1 wild is the current wild in the existing game, second wild could be just a wild but would walk slower and/or would make other
Walking wilds slow down aswell.
Third wild could be a re-configure wild that would place the wilds in a pay line, and the fourth one could be a bigger wild, 2x2.
So in different scenarios we could wish for different wilds. Would be more exiting.

The game looks amazing but gonna be honest its so slow. Like to the point I just wanted to quit. I just got super bonuses because its just slow. U have to wait for the wild to get multi and can just be nothing. Even the super bonus is meh. Like I know we trash talk games often but this was not a fun game. It looks good and concept might be fun but its just too slow. Also basegame cant really pay either. So you need the bonus and then build multi to get good wins. I dont like games like this but some might love them. Visually 10/10 but the game itself I give 2/10. My least favorite of all slotmills (so far). Again its not me hating but genuine feedback its too slow and boring for regular players. Might be amazing for people buying bonuses

Very boring slot. It was like trying to smoke a wet cigarette, nothing actually burned and nothing turned me on.

The soundscape was gloomy and playing this made you hate the sound of church bells. 1000 spins was 500 too many. Even with extra bet on.

Maybe not the "best" review you were after but one of the honest... you asked for it.

What a great gem of a game, not many games nowadays capture your attention with a great addictive bonus game. I got a quick bonus on extra bet and went for over 1000x with 79 bonus spins and took a good 5 minutes of great entertainment which is lacking nowadays in slots that the bonus is over in 30 seconds (especially in the UK market where it can take 1hr of spins to get 1 bonus). The graphics were outstanding and gave you the feel of a nordic battlefield and backed up with a wicked soundtrack and hilarious sound effects. The bonus gave me vibes of razor shark and marching legions but better as you actually felt the horns would appear and the genius idea of a golden horn to bring back all the vikings was awesome. This is one of the best games I have played this year and would give it a 9.2/10 and is perfect for the UK market which I am in!!

Google says the longest distance the Vikings travelled was 25,000 miles to Canada. After 1000 spins on this game I believe us casinogrounds crew felt that pain. I know some of us didn't make it and were lost at sea. But to those remaining, here's the logbook.

TBF the slot may play better in short bursts but playing it for a decent time, really exposed its flaws. So we need to talk about Wilds, the main game mechanic and why they don't work.

Whether in the bonus or base game the wins will come from walking wilds. Wilds move from right to left, disappearing when they reach row 1. However, a Viking horn will reset the wilds back to row 5. And off they go again. Back and forth. One step forward two steps back. Not the most exciting mechanic. And the fact the bonus plays the same...monotonous.

Think of a slot like The Dog House and its roaming wild feature - wilds popping around like chaotic musical chairs. And with this the sense that one random spin can change your bank. But Wildhalla plays too straightforward, no kink or dynamism. Wildhalla's Wilds are a slow escalator. You're left slowly watching them approach their destination, hoping something connects.

As with most slots these days, Wildhalla looks great - but the game play is lacking imagination. No spontaneity, no surprise. Just not fun.

Check out Norway's Viking row celebration when they win a game at the world cup. Wildhalla captures none of that spirit, instead of a raid this game left me rowing in circles.

Intro

Wildhalla is Slotmill doing what Slotmill does, high volatility mechanics, walking wilds, and a Norse mythology skin over the top. If you've played other slots with shifting multiplier wilds, you already know roughly how this works. The Viking afterlife theme feels familiar and the mechanics are not particularly innovative, but like most of their catalog, Wildhalla relies on a proven formula that consistently delivers exactly what you expect.

Set-up

Five reels, a 5x4 layout, 40 fixed paylines. The RTP is 96.05%. The core mechanic is a respin loop where any landing wild triggers free respins, shifting one reel to the left each spin until it exits the grid. Each successful connection increases the wild's multiplier by 1x. The experience is shaped mainly by two special symbols: the Silver Horn, which resets a wild's position if it lands on the same line, and the Golden Horn, which lands on the last reel and pulls all active walking wilds back to reel 5.

Visually, the game takes place on a gritty, battle-littered shoreline, complete with a moored longship and Viking debris. The bonus rounds escalate the action to a spiritual realm guarding Valhalla, supported by an epic TV-style soundtrack that genuinely fits the theme, though some might find the relentless intensity a bit much during dead spins.

Experience

The base game is honestly quite dry at times. Regular payouts are tiny, and there are long stretches where no wilds land, nothing really connects, and you are just waiting as your balance bleeds. Then everything clicks, multiple walking wilds align, a Golden Horn drops, and suddenly a mediocre spin turns into something significant. It's best approached as a high-volatility multiplier chase, not a balanced all-session slot.

When the bonus does land, the Super Bonus in particular can move fast. Four wilds stepping across the screen and building multipliers means later steps hit a meaningfully higher multiplier than earlier ones. Some sessions will still bust out for nothing if the 5th reel stays empty. That's the nature of the variance here.

Bonus

You get Bonus Respins by triggering the feature organically or buying it via Fast Track. In the regular Bonus, you start with a walking wild on all four rows of the 5th reel. Super Bonus Respins work the same way but force the multiplier to increase not only on successful connections, but also after every single step the wild takes, a noticeable difference in how quickly things can escalate.

The bad news is extending your playtime depends entirely on landing extra steps or Reset symbols on the very last reel. If Reel 5 goes cold straight away, the whole feature dies instantly, and your bonus might not even pay 3x.

For those who'd rather skip the base game grind, Fast Track offers three entry points. Walking Wild Respins, costing 40x your bet, trigger a random amount of wilds that marche leftward across the reels, building its multiplier on every winning connection. Step up to 100x the bet for full Bonus Respins, or go all-in at 300x for the Super Bonus. Xtra-Bet is also worth considering, as it doubles your base stake while more than tripling the chances of triggering Bonus Respins, making it a strong option if you prefer frequent feature play over standard Fast Track pricing.

Conclusion

If you like Slotmill's high-risk style, big yes. The execution is sharp, it works well on mobile devices, and the 10,000x max win gives the volatility real weight. If you're hoping for something that breaks new ground or offers constant small wins, you won't find it in this one. It’s a solid, familiar slot that’s easy to enjoy, offering massive win potential and a tension-filled loop. While it doesn’t necessarily reinvent the formula, it still delivers an entertaining experience that is worth a try.

Artwork & Visuals 9/10
Sound Design 8.5/10
Base Game Engagement 6.5/10
Bonus Features 8.5/10
Win Potential 8.5/10

Overall 8+/10

Besides, I'm usually playing slots muted. music in this title is decent, it feels the vibe.

Great mechanics, it's great that slotmill is innovative again. At least the Vikings aren't always catching fish as in other providers. .

I feel like it should be more lines manipulation to them. I understand that big wins are only possible when the Vikings line up. There should be some meat, pegasi, manipulating them.

Bring some ragnarok feature that would bring them to the live in the sequel. Really like, or it should exist only in super bonus.

In general, I get the impression that there are very few other features happening during the bonus. Horns, cool, but aside from this cool mechanic and bonus design, you quickly realize there won't be any surprises and game is repeatitive.

I feel like sequel with more features will be really succesfull title.

Slot Review: Wildhalla by Slotmill

1. Graphics and Sounds (9,5/10)

Wildhalla's theme combines the Viking mythology of Nordic sagas with Gimli-like dwarf main characters similar to Lord of the Rings. I assume that due to the wilds being like a small square, dwarfs as WILD characters make the most sense size-wise.

The slot truly manages to build up the atmosphere with an excellent soundtrack which really puts you into this Viking war mode, with a Viking ship on the right side of the slot, entering the battlefield.

My absolute favorite are the berserk burning eyes of the dwarfs when having a big hit and the way the dwarfs get eliminated with different kind of weaponry, which looks amazing and amusing at the same time. Huge respect for that detailed animations to the graphics people!

2. Game Mechanics and Game Flow in Base Game (9,5/10)

The game mechanics for the different bet options are interestingly distributed in Wildhalla. Slotmill prefers here to not have a super bonus bet and keeps the options clean. It is a huge positive, this β€žaddition by subtractionβ€œ decision to not overload the player with many different extra bet options but keeping it simple with one feature WILD RESPINS bet. As a player you don't feel forced to use the extra bet option to get big wins.

It also makes it much more enjoyable to not get overburdened by multiple options and simply focus on your one favorite gameplay choice. Too many extra bets make it feel for the player to make wrong choices, here it's clean and simple, big props for that!

The pure base game lacks a bit of punch until Wilds appear, however the bonus is much easier to land to balance it out. Personally I could see lots of players choosing the WILD RESPINS option as main playstyle, because it’s highly entertaining and takes a bit of time to develop, giving a lot of bang for the buck in terms of time of entertainment.

3. Bonus and Super Bonus rounds (9/10)

The bonus and super bonus are well thought out with the Wilds having multiplicative power when they connect, but since they start in the same column, it takes a bit of time and luck until the set-up has potential. But once the set-up is great, the slot can pay huge.

The Super Bonus gives you a major advantage with the extra addition of +1x multiplier per spin, but the normal Bonus still has plenty of potential with the right set-up. It's also smart to return back to the starting multiplier whenever a WILD dwarf gets eliminated. The reappearance of WILD dwarfs happens once in a while and is a great joy for the player.

100x and 300x are sensible purchase costs for the bonus types, due to the good slot maths with the wilds only unleashing their multiplying power when set-up is good.

4. Improvements for Wildhalla 2

An interesting feature in the bonus could be, to put the multiplier of the eliminated dwarfs on a type of shrine or altar of sacrifice where it can accumulate and when suddenly ODIN appears as a special feature, that multiplier will get used additionally for that spin and disappears afterwards. Valhalla theme basically is perfect for such an ODIN extra potential feature randomly in the bonus with those "dead" multipliers.

So far it’s only dwarfs as characters in the VIKING theme. I could easily see additional characters as Wilds appearing in the sequel with different traits, e.g a female wild which protects a dwarf when he is about to get killed in the same row. Or a tall large warrior, who is a 2x2 Wild but dies quicker.

The same animation and gameplay is perfectly suited for other famous warrior cultures. My first instinct would be a SPARTAN themed slot with the same concept of having WILDS in one column, but there it would be like an advantage to have them all in a column = they stay alive. Once they are split up, those Spartan Wilds can be killed anywhere on the slot grid via bow and arrow.

Final verdict: 9,5/10

Wildhalla is another excellent Slotmill slot with a great balance between all wager options. The extra detailed animation is noticeable and serves as a great base for future sequel slots with similar themes and WILDS concepts.
