Have to say I'm very impressed by Nigmas play in the last few games, was expecting them to be quite the underdogs against PSG.LGD tomorrow but it's almost even, possibly worth a punt the other way ๐Ÿ˜ฎย 

 
As stated in OP, seems like the 2 most desperate teams managed to get through.

Day 1 group stage is more like an observation period because we dont know how the none WC teams will perform. beastcoast could pull another thunder predator.ย 

Eyeing a liquid and LGD -1.5 against beastcoast (at 2.62 and 1.8 respectively). Team Spirit +1.5 against EG and Nigma could be worth it too, the odds are underestimating team spirit by a fair margin.

Yea, its leaning towards 2.7 last i saw, could be worth a shot if u got the feeling ;)

 
Today's interesting matches should be EG vs VG, Liquid vs Nigma and perhaps beastcoast vs TNC.ย 

Giving a slight edge to VG, Nigma and TNC but wouldn't be surprised at a draw. (2 way market is the safest for money back if draw)

If u dont feel like watching on twitch, u can check it onย https://www.trackdota.com/ย if the game is being played live to see the current score/gold advantage/map score

2/3 so far, both Nigma and TNC took their series. Next up should be interesting, im leaning towards VG but kimster is eyeing an EG -1,5!

 
Well done buddy, I should really look to do the 2 way bets, which bookies offer them? So far every single bet I thought looked decent has ended in a draw

I have looked at odds on Pinnacle (sharp) and Betway (soft) for some markets, and have some mildly confusing results.
I have found spots where it pays to shop for lines.
Also, if the possible results of a 2 game match are only 0-2 , 1-1 and 2-0, you can do-it-yourself the two-way bet from betting on one side and a draw in the threeway bet. For the matches that I have checked that, the vigourish on the threeway bets on Betway were way way higher than on the two-way bets.

But I have some doubts if that premise is true. @anonymousapple
On Pinnacle I found the following odds:. Why do the odds differ? Is there a possibility of drawing or voiding one single game or something?

ย Its the same, take the one with the better odds. As for why some bookies have it that way, i have no idea. It might be because dota matches tend to be Bo1 or Bo3. Sites that tend to be more focused on esports should not have that issue/loophole (i think the above should not happen on betway but rather on bookies that aren't familiar with the game itself and just uses a fixed system)

And you're right you can DIY the 2 way bet by betting on 2 selections in 1X2 but the odds offered on the draw no bet is almost always better (using the draw no bet formula).ย 

@LetsGiveItASpini tend to use bet365 for 2 ways, pinnacle always has that market shut. Also available on betway but they will probably restrict your stakes after a few bets.

As for today's bets i am going LGD beating EG, TNC beating Liquid and Spirit beating Liquid (unless Spirit performs badly against BC) all on 2 way market.

Playoffs will be better with matches being BO3ย

Tinfoil theory: LGD is already through to upper bracket, do you think they will play at their best vs VG? Otherwise VG should be great value

I dont think they will want to lose either and chinese teams tend to play seriously regardless (unlike EU teams picking weird heroes when they already qualified), should be a LGD win or draw.

Looking at Nigma -1.5 against beastcoast, EG>Liquid, and LGD>VG today

 
After a grueling 60ish mins game 2, LGD ended in a draw, not surprising (also shows how tryhard chinese teams are). Nigma -1.5 (or 2-0 against BC) came in at evens, pretty nice. Final game of the day would be EG>Liquid then there are no more BO2 as it will be playoffs in 2 days

 
EG has broodmother first pick, looking good already

edit: i actually prefer liquid's draft, hopefully eg can play really well
