how common are withdrawal issues ?

Hi guys new member here. 

In the past week i have met wagering requirements on two new casinos turning  25 pound deposit into over 1k. After doing a few google searches i read quite a few storys about people having issues making withdrawals for a whole host of reasons, some which seem really unfair. It got me wondering how common is this ? can casinos deny you your money legally without  good reason ? is the uk gambling commission responsible for making sure casinos treat their customers fairly or what ?

If you play at reputable casinos you will rarely encounter any issues. UKGC work more for the operator than the player sadly

I think it's highly unlikely any UK licensed casino would confiscate funds for no reason. I've never encountered it myself.

The horror stories you read are very likely bullshit T&C's attached to bonuses i.e. you cannot play game X or place a wager higher than X which the casino will accept and then slam you on when it comes to withdrawal.

Some casinos will also try to stall processing your withdrawals employing various tactics such as asking for excessive levels of identification.

Best thing you can do is sit tight, go through the process and don't reverse. Easier said then done :-)
