My (an idiot) football betting adventure.

Recommended Posts

So, I had £6k in slot winnings on a site I wasn't verified (or so I thought) during the lockdown, passport expired, lazy, figured there must be a way to move that money from one casino to another.

Bight idea came to me in the middle of the night.

Yes, I'll bet on one football team to win on one site and for the opposing team to win on another.

Tested it out, bet big on the favourite on a site I am verified on, bet small on the underdog on the site I am not verifed on. Balance the bets so that if the underdog wins I get roughly what I bet on the two sites combined, and if the favourite wins I get roughly the total bet on the two sites combined. What do you know, the first time I tried it, the underdog scored first and an early cashout for an amount that almost covered both bets popped up. Yes please, cashed that out early and let the bet ride on the other site. The favourite then scored and I was able to cash that out early too. Profit on both sites.

I, Dirtystack, the king of gamblers have found an infinite money glitch.

Slight problem, I now have £7k on the unverified site that I need to move. Better up the stakes.

Literally can't go tits up.

I'm now watching football for the first time in my life, went to stay with mum , a Liverpool fan, for a couple of months during the lockdown.

Mum "why are you so interested in Football all of a sudden?"

Me "Got a  little bet on."

Mum "Me too, Bet 365 give me free bets now and then and I'm up £30 this season!"

Me " That's amazing mum."

Mum " What is your bet?"

Me "I've got £4000 on Liverpool to win and £1200 on the other team to win"

Mum "Ohhhh you stupid boy, please tell me you are joking."

Me "calm down mum, I know what I'm doing, I've done the math, moving money from one site to another, worst case I lose 10% in the transfer, best case the underdog gets ahead early and then the favourite gets level or ahead."

free, fucking, money.

And it worked.

For a while.

Until.

What's this?

A draw?

What happens with a draw?

Surely I get my bet refunded?

A draw is like a standoff/push in blackjack no?

Ended up losing all my profits and around £3k of my own money. Some surprise results meant I still had around £4k in the unverified site.

Got pissed off and spunked all but £500 of it away playing £10-£20 a spin on slots.

Fuck it, may as well trigger verification and SOF - clicked withdraw.

Instantly hit with the dreaded message:

"your withdrawal is approved and the funds will be in you bank account within 2-5 business days"

Fuck. my. life.

Was verified all along.

Oh well, at least now I frequently get £25 free sportsbets from those two sites.

That's a funny but also sad story. But really you didn't know football matches could end in a draw 😂

Everyone knows that most football matches end the way they started: 0-0.

So few goals are scored that the bookies have started offering bets on other 'events' such as fouls, bookings and corners.

Great story Dirty Stack!

I knew they could end in a draw, I had just never thought about how that would affect my betting strategy.

I knew they could end in a draw. Just hadn’t considered how that would affect my brilliant strategy.

Yo dude, that is a crazy story and glad you know you're verified for future big winnings at least!

Only thing i was gonna say if helps possible strat was you can also bet on teams just not to lose - on bookies i think most call it something like 'Double Chance' and is usually down near bottom of the markets list - it obviously pays lower odds than win only, though does cover both win & draw outcomes.

And if you not been into footie bets before, essentially what you're doing is similar to Arbitrage betting, if you wanna google it for research, though it can risk account bans, restrictions too if bookies find out and be alot more work than worth it but still interesting to learn nonetheless.
