It really depends,

during the holidays i go in guns blazing, up to 10k a week, money from past winnings. I play at 1-5 euro stakes at most (mostly 1 or 2 euro)

I try not to play to much outside that period, since i’m not as focussed as i should be. Then i play for 100 euro max per week.

I only play with money i dont miss, however, i do sometimes lose my cool and play away a couple of thousands in a few hours, that i made with 1 big hit 😂 we all make mistakes sometimes 🤗

I have always wondered this, as well, especially in relation to how much people earn. I don't see a lot of comments on this, so I figured I would jump in.

I used to spend about €20 a week, never more than €5 a bet. At the time, I didn't have any debt or vices and was making just €800 a month with about €200 left over after bills.

These days, I have a business and work as a consultant, making upwards of €10,000 a month with €3,000 disposable income. I gamble about €250 a week. It's a lot more, but comparatively, it's much less, and I think that's what matters. The problem is that these days I gamble like an idiot. I make stupid bets and play games with low RTPs. I don't have much time for poker, rarely do any sports bet, and spend too much on slots and roulette. In the past, I was so desperate not to lose a single penny that every wager was important and often went on poker games, blackjack, etc.,

That's not because I don't care anymore, though. I think it's more about time and patience, as I don't have much of either these days.

I think people shouldn't focus on the amount, but rather on percentages.

For myself, I have excluded myself from gambling over the last year, might undo that later to play some more poker tournaments.

I used to gamble almost 100% of my monthly wage before, but right now I gamble about 10% of it. (only some cheap live tournaments). Some months I don't even gamble at all.

There are months where I earn up to 8000 a month, and months where my income is only 2000 or less. The thing I'd like to do is put aside like a 1000 euro a year, just to gamble. I'd love to go to Rozvadov for example to play some tournaments.

When I'll undo my exclusion, i'll focus on a bankroll as well; where i'll keep my expenses from gambling completely apart from what I earn.  Also I will focus a lot more on participating in bigger poker tournaments, rather than going bigger on gambling. 100 euros never seemed a lot for a deposit, but there are already some great tournaments for that amount, which also bring me greater joy. I'd rather visit some casino's over the world and travel a bit, than sit at home behind my computer.
