Cashmio predatory bonus

I want to share my recent experience with Cashmio and their non-sense ToS for their welcome bonus.

 

I created an account, deposited $500 and took a $100 welcome bonus (100% up to $100). Before we get to my real complaints... its a garbage bonus anyway. Your raw balance is taken before the bonus balance when wagering and its a 40x wager.

My real complaint is what happens after; I managed to run up my balance to $1700 and tried to withdrawal. I was informed that I violated their bonus terms of service (my fault) and that there was a max bet limit of $5. However, I violated their rules on games that do not count as wagering AND there is absolutely no warning about max limits while betting. They are perfectly happy to take my "illegal bets" when I lose. They proceeded to confiscate my balance and return my initial deposit of $500. If I had lost my initial deposit, there is no way Cashmio would have returned my balance. Its a BLATANT freeroll for the casino. 

 

I've decided to withdrawal my initial deposit and move on to another casino but I hope my experience helps others in avoiding this predatory BS. I know cashmio is a legit casino and many players have no problem with raw deposits but I hope they decide to be more upfront and improve how they handle their bonuses in the future.

Its a parachute bonus if cash is taken first and you can withdraw your cash if you hit a big win.Why did you deposit 500 if it was 100% up to 100? That makes little sense to me.

Cashmio has this stated in bonus terms.

15. Until the play through requirements has been met, the maximum bet that is allowed to be placed is €/$5. This includes double up wagers after the game round has been completed. For example, wagering winnings from X game round on red/black. Buying a bonus round worth more than the maximum bet whilst playing with bonus money is not allowed.

I'm pretty sure they don't have any games that you are not allowed to play with bonus. But they might not contribute:

Slots and Jackpot Slots: 100%

All games in the “classic games” category: 50%

All table games, all video pokers, Live Casino, Kings of Chicago, White Rabbit, Wizard Shop, Dark Vortex: 0%

The bonus on Cashmio needs to be wagered through, meaning it's NOT a parachute bonus. UK players offcourse have parachute, but atm they don't offer welcome bonus to UK (Think its extraspins)

Bets made before your bonus wagering is complete is taken from your cash account but cannot be withdrawn until your wager is complete. If I had 500+100 bonus and I won 300 (900 total) I can withdrawal only 500 and forfeit the rest. If I had lost 300, I could only withdrawal 200. Its a horrible bonus. Its like the opposite of a parachute bonus.

 

They did not prevent me from playing any games with the bonus. Some of the games don't count towards the bonus wager but ALL games are restricted by the 5$ max bet. In my case, I played monopoly live which contributes 0% to the wager but is restricted by the 5$ max bet. Again, its all stated in their ToS but feels terribly unfair to the players.

 

As for why I deposited $500, the deposit bonus wasn't even something I thought about.. I just wanted to try a new casino but thought it was nice to get something extra.

I can understand why you think it's not a good bonus. But using a non-parachute bonus, you have to go in with a mindset to beat wager. Actually they at least give u a chance to withdraw your initial deposit, but forfeit the bonus. This is definetly not the best bonus for players, but it still has a beatable wager.

I would advise you to not take any bonuses that are not Parachute, unless you have an intention to actually try and beat the playthrough.

Make sure you read through the restricted games as well. Table games or dreamcatcher/monopoly live basically always have a low contribution, or none.

Look on the bright side, at least you didn't lose :)

I got lucky that I didn't lose. Really lucky. I'm sure 98% of other players that ran into the same bs either can't say the same or didn't even know that these terms are so awful.

But why defend casinos like this that do not provide player protection instead of chastising them. There's enough of a casino edge without players taking their sides on topics like these.

Cashmio will freeroll your deposit, they will accept your action that break their ToS and inform you AFTER the fact, not during.

I'd be frustrated too to be honest, as far as im aware most casinos won't even let you place bets over 5$ when on a bonus. It'll crash the game or tell you your bet is too high. If they don't do that and let's just say you accidentily bet over 5$ by pressing Max Bet on accident, which has happened to me a few times before, you'd lose out on a lot of potential winnings due to a stupid missclick.

Not that I've ever played a £5 spin but whenever I'm on a bonus I will never go above £2 stakes as I know some casinos only allow up to £2 also. Better safe than sorry. When I originally joined cashmio,a good few years back,it was just a straight 100% bonus and not as complicated as it is now.

Never deposit more then the bonus amount. In some casinos like White Hat Gaming,  they would have included the $500 plus the $100 bonus for wagering. That would have been $600 x35 =$21,000 as opposed to $100 plus $100 bonus, $200 x35 = 7000. You got to protect yourself against most of these scumbag casinos.

Hello there, 

you obviously didnt read the terms and conditions properly and you should seek the fault more on yourself here. Most casinos dont have bonus protection, which i OBVIOUSLY agree they all should have! Too high bets not accepted and restricted games not playable as some have done that, is the best for sure.

 

Still, you screwed up mate, stand up to it. You have to read the Terms and Conditions before playing.

I gotta say, I'm a bit surprised that you think that this bonus has predatory terms? I think it's very clear what's allowed and what's not. This is not even stated as a Parachute bonus (at least when I read the terms, I can clearly see you need to wager to withdraw).

I gotta go back to what @Slotspinner says here, and sound like dad, you HAVE to read t&cs of the bonus before you start playing. If the bonus was unnecessary/unwanted, you could have easily asked chat to remove.

All in all I think it's unfair to say this bonus has predatory terms though. It's very clearly stated what's allowed/not allowed. 40x is not that bad of a wager either! Most casinos will have like 50x.

im not coming to anyones rescue, if you dont comply with the terms and conditions why is it the casinos fault?

people like you just want to blind hate casinos, while the player broke terms.

BUT still as i said, every casino should have a max bet and excluded game Protection built in - exactly because of people who dont read the terms.

EDIT: EVERYTHING about this thread is wrong. OP didnt understand the wager correctly, deposited 500 to claim a 100% up to 100 and literally broke all the bonus terms possible. Im sorry but WHO are you gonna blame if theres a road sign saying 50 kph and you go 100, receive a speeding ticket? Damn police shouldve helped him slow down!

You do it pretty mush everytime. I play casinos from time to time never had Any issues and I mean never. But i han still say damn casino buissnies is among the moste coruppt and fishy business their is. Not sure hos you han keep protecting them all the time when you know what kind of buissnies it is. It is funny to play but some people just get destroyed by it.

You explaind nothing exept that people should learn how to read terms. Thats what you explained then a little something that they should have built in safte (obviusley they dont Because they wouldent be abel to Dodge bigger payout). Their is alot of Threads up about casinos making weard stuff but you Only comment on wher the misstakes are made by players. So i understand why you feel diffrent Than me. You simpla choose to ignore those Threads, thats fine but dont do it the opposit way then Eather.

Unfortunately in the casino world, the player is liable to read and comply with the terms wether you like it or not.

Just an update. Received my withdrawal of $500 (my initial deposit) today finally. They sent $477.93 and my bank took $14 for handling fees because they decided a wire transfer was more appropriate than a direct check deposit like every other casino. So $22 in fees from Cashmio and $14 from my bank.

I was also warned that there is an inactivity fee that continues to rack up for 30 months so I closed my account.

 

Whatever, good riddance.
