William hill beware - not able to opt out from bonus

So I made a deposit today and it turned out I had opted in some deposit bonus on 11th.

Money was locked into the bonus. There was not a way to opt out from that bonus and when I went into chat they keep saying they can't opt me out from it either. I didn't want that bonus anymore.

I have not used any of the bonus funds after deposit.  Money is not withdrawable.

Surely this has to be illegal in some way?

After a long wait they contacted their supervisor and all he said that my account is now restricted on gaming promotions? 

Well.. I don't even know what to say.

And money is still in bonus money.

 
Must be the slowest customer service chat out there. I spent around 2 hours in chat and all they did repeat same sentences, transfer between different people and restrict my account.

Anyone know if I have any chance to get that money back?

 
Never heard of such a bonus ,  what was the bonus  ?    i have been with WH for over 25yrs and have had no issues with them re deposits or Bonuses  , the only thing that has changed is that they withdrew email contact and in Live chat you type to a Bot before you eventually get thru to a human. 

 
Apparently it was from "bonus shootout" promotion which I had played 5 days before depositing today.

Somehow that was still active today and turned my whole deposit into 100% matched bonus money which is only playable in 2 different slots.
