Voodoo Dreams welcome bonus win cap

I just won around £1500 with the welcome bonus on Voodoo Dreams casino. After wagering the bonus funds i only got £500. 

Completely my fault for not reading the terms and conditions, i just didn't expect it to be capped at £500.

Is this common for most casinos? It’s been a long time since I've signed up to a new casino.

So disappointed and such a waste of time.

Always read the T&C when you take a bonus, now days its jungle out there. 

There are a lot of insane bad bonus terms, max 10x/5x the deposit after you wager 40x or more + a lot or restrictions on what games you can play. So its common with the win cap and lower RTP on slots + higher wagering on bonuses. 

I stop taking bonuses long time ago, just not worth the hustle. If you take a bonus take a parachute bonus, i think rootz casinos have them. Where you play your own money first and if you win (still on your own money) you can cancel the bonus and take the wins and cash it out.
