If you hit the bonus on £5 spins then get a 10x retrigger everyone always says wow £50 spins ! but it's really not because base game spins aren't worth 100% rtp . Like when u spin in the base game you are hoping to get the bonus right ? I don't know the exact number but a LOT of the rtp is in the bonus
So let's say a £5 spin in the base game is only really worth £2 or £3 if no bonus is possible . Imagine playing montezuma where it wasn't possible to trigger the bonus . You would lose money pretty quickly most of the time . So when you get a 10x retrigger you can't pretend that each spin is worth 10x £5 because thats pretending the base game pays out at 100% rtp which is far from true . It's more like £25 spins
