You've just experienced the ELK shaft! Most rate ELK as their worst provider due to similar scripted bonuses. The purple hitting the horse shoe for max win there made way more sense than the green but then again I don't know how this slot works. Is it because the green was active or something?? Or maybe they programmed that horse shoe to hit the parrot the benefits the most with the upgrade (not regarding the max win)?? Always best to put in your mind that the bonus outcome was already decided before you played it so you was never getting that max.
The thing is that there were 2 parrots that could have walked to that horse shoe. If the purple activates and walks, it would have had way to collect the max win. But instead the green one activated and blocked it. But my guess is that the green parrot activated because the green symbols were at higher value/level than purple symbols?
Aaah didn't notice that. I can't find anything in the rules but i played this game for some hours and the birds always seem to collect from low to high paying symbol regardless of the upgrade status. So first blue, green, purple then red. In this case blue had no options and green did. But still looking at this i can understand it feels unfair. Guess we need ELK for the reel answer.
