Big Win 777 Slot
Released on 24th October 2019, Play'n GO’s Big Win 777 slot combines classic symbols, the bright lights of Vegas, and the razzmatazz of a US game show.
This is a highly volatile slot played on a 5x3 reel set with 15 pay lines, and an RTP of 96.5%. It also comes with a range of features to hopefully propel some lucky players to the maximum payout of 5,000x their bet size.
Big wins are up for grabs both of the game’s main features, the ‘Chance Reel’ and a free spins round with sticky, expanding wilds.
You can play Big Win777 from 24th October at participating casinos from €0.15 to €90 a spin.
Design & Symbols
The design is all neon and strip lighting and shades of purple, reminiscent of many a Las Vegas casino lounge. The backdrop to the game board is what appears to be a Vegas disco with large cylindrical pillars either side of a purple and black check dance floor. The pillars hold up a strip-lit vaulted ceiling. The purple disco effects and classic symbols are somewhat reminiscent of Elk Studio’s April release Hit it Big, or even Push Gaming’s 2018 classic Jammin’ Jars. Of course, the obligatory funky electronic backing track is there to accompany the play. There are also intermittent gameshow type announcements from an off-screen host whenever a feature or win lands. The reels cover the majority of the screen and resemble a latter-day Vegas slot with class bar and 7’s symbols.
Low-value symbols are a single bar, a double bar, and a triple bar. High-value symbols are red 7’s and golden 7’s. The wild diamond is the highest paying symbol, awarding 66.67x the bet size for 5 on a pay line. There is also a ‘Chance’ symbol which takes the form of a lucky wheel. Symbols do not appear on all reel spaces, as such it’s rare for all pay lines to be active at once.
- Chance Wheel
- Booster Spin
- Big Win Free Spins
- Sticky & Cloning Wilds
Landing Chance symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 trigger the Chance Wheel feature. The board makes way for a giant lucky spinning wheel, the type anyone who’s watched enough TV gameshows will be familiar with. The wheel is separated into segments which contain either a win multiplier between 5x and 777x, or direct entry into the free spins bonus round.
At any time during the base game, the Booster Spin feature may randomly activate while the reels are spinning. The Booster Spin has an increased chance of the Chance symbol landing on reels 1, 3, and 5 which will ultimately trigger free spins through the Chance Wheel.
12 free spins are awarded through the Chance Wheel via either of the methods described above. Landing 1 or 2 Chance symbols during a free spin awards an additional 1 or 2 free spins. Landing all 3 Chance symbols awards 5, 10, or even 20 extra free spins. There are no limits to the number of free spins retriggers on offer.
Sticky & Cloning Wilds
During free spins, the Wild Diamonds become sticky for 2 spins. They also regenerate vertically (up or down) once for each sticky spin. As such, landing a Wild Diamond on all 5 reels during a single spin will result in the final sticky spin filling the board with the highest value symbol and a win of 1,000x.
Our Thoughts on Big Win 777
As video slots go this one isn’t especially memorable, but it’s certainly playable. As it goes that is fairly high praise coming from someone who isn’t especially keen on the classic, Vegas-style slot and all that goes with it.
Ordinarily, I find them too generic, too boring, and with little to no imagination. I have to admit that although I still don’t believe this would ever be one of my ‘go-to’ slots, there was enough going on here to keep me interested. It is a fun free spins round which not only has a couple of decent features but it also has the ability to retrigger, something which it does fairly frequently to some degree. The potential isn’t outstanding, but there are some very nice wins to be had.
Not a game-changer, but for my money, this is certainly one of the better slots out there with this kind of theme.
