Where to play
How to win big in Betty, Boris, and Boo – Spooky Spins
Landing the Spooky Spins bonus symbol on reels 1, 3, and 5 triggers 10 Spooky Spins (free spins). During Spooky Spins one or more of the game’s ghosts may appear randomly on the screen to deliver one of the following beneficial reel modifiers.
Betty Wilds: Betty transforms a random number of symbols into wilds which remain sticky for the duration of the bonus.
Boo Multipliers: Boo adds a win multiplier (2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, or 10x) which is then applied to all wins throughout Spooky Spins. As with all ghosts, Boo may appear once more to add to the multiplier
Boris Expands: When Boris appears, he selects a high value symbol to a mega sized symbol 2x3, 3x3, or 4x4. The symbol remains mega for the remainder of the spins. Once again, Boris may reappear to expand further symbols.
- Sticky Scatter Spin
Land a single scatter and it remains sticky for the next spin. Another scatter landing on the next spin results in both scatters remaining sticky for one more spin. This feature increases your chances of landing the bonus.
Look and Feel of Betty, Boris, and Boo
Betty, Boris, and Boo is set in the drawing room at the foot of a sweeping staircase in a haunted house. Pictures of the three ghosts adorn the walls, illuminated by a flickering candle on a table next to a plush, red, wingback chair. The gameboard sits imposingly in the centre of the room, ornately framed in wood – like an oversized dressing table mirror. The scene may be of a haunted house, but the fixtures and fittings, including the pictures of the ghosts, look anything but terrifying. You get the idea that these are friendly ghouls of the type you wouldn’t mind a visit from.
Symbols come stacked on all reels. Lows are represented by the four card suits, premiums are candles, mirrors, books, telephones, and a golden skull. The skull is the most valuable symbol, with a full symbol paying 8x the bet size. The wild (only present during free spins), is the most valuable symbol of all, paying 10x the bet size for a full payline. All symbols and values are shown below (divide coin totals by 30 for the value in multiples of the bet size).
Betty, Boris, and Boo can be a fun game to play. The Spooky Spins certainly have their moments, and when all three ghosts come into play on the same spin (which happens more often than you might think), big wins can be attained. However, getting there is the difficult part, and with no base game features to speak of, it can get a little tiresome. The 5,241x max win is decent, but with a comparatively low RTP (95.69%), some players might not see the appeal of hanging around for the main event. This is a fun game with a solid theme and a good feature, but ultimately, I’m not sure it will haunt my house for long.
